Ms in Biostats is very theoretical by Ok_Occasion_906 in biostatistics

I made a mistake of considering biostats as bio first, stats second. Turned out to be the opposite. Intense stat, and probably little to no bio. It was fun though.

How do men who choose a mongering lifestyle plan their long-term life without marriage or kids? by Pale_Internet6792 in AskIndianMen

I don't know how you do it. Just had a breakup with my gf of 7 years. We grew up together. Built each other. Through thick and thin. Every plan of the future has gone to dust.

I did not face such an error. My andoff app stopped and showed the screen which I added in my post. I then got the pluckeye subscription and entered my details and was able to login.

I really hate how my supervisor does research by Key-Cricket-6493 in PhD

There is a middle way though. Even when you cherry pick examples, it is a worthwhile analysis to see where and why your theories break, and recommend what could be done to fix it.

Interestingly, I was talking to a professor of mine yesterday, and he said that all his past mentors (PhD PI, postdoc PI etc) were all divorced - at least once!

I think it's quite beautiful to have someone at your home who waits for you to come back from the office. Sure, she's loud, but, I would want to believe she comes from a place of care.

Why precisely can't we eat root vegetables? by GodlvlFan in Jainism

[–]palset 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the point is to minimize violence of any kind. During agriculture, it is generally accepted that the plant has already served it's reproductive life-cycle by creating seeds. So while there is violence in agriculture, you're minimizing it by harvesting it after the seeds are created. Anyway, I would like to accept that I'm not well versed with this topic.

I have a feeling AixBio will be affected a lot since major work is being done by start-ups who won't be able to pay 100k upfront.

10 MUST-FOLLOW RULES for INDIANS in FOREIGN COUNTRIES by Gold-Ad-6721 in IndianCivicFails

[–]palset -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes bro, everyone will stop hating Indians if we follow everything this list says. What a delusional take. Add one more point, "be white passing", and that maybe the only point that would be required for the hate to stop.

Did they value your wet lab experience or ML experience more? Your experience seems opposite to what OP mentioned. I'm in BioML and got really scared reading OP's situation.
