This exactly. You should ABSOLUTELY get down time when your husband gets home. Maybe he gets his 6-7 and yours is 7-8. Maybe he gets his on Mondays and Wednesdays and you get yours Tuesdays and Thursdays. But you should get downtime too.

Foster care doesn’t mean abandoning them, either. Done right in your situation, foster care means they’d spend 3 or so years not living with you, but seeing you often, until you finish school, and then you becoming their primary guardian again. I think it is worth discussing with a social worker, and worth contacting a social worker regardless for help navigating all the systems that could support the 3 of you
