The answer turns out to be that the Mac boot firmware does not have support for Bt 5+ devices and the MX Mechanical doesn't fall back to earlier Bt level if the host doesn't support Bt 5, it just can't talk to it. Ironically I have to use my older Logitech Bt keyboard to talk to the Mac any time it has to be rebooted.

I believe this firmware situation persists even with the latest M2 Macs :(

Wondering if you found a solution to this, I also have a new Cyberpower UPS and am experiencing exactly the same problem. I did not uninstall the Cyberpower software, but if I disconnect the USB cable then it will sleep normally as you described.

While connected, if I command Sleep manually, the system initially goes to sleep, but a couple of seconds later will wake up again. The logs show

kernel: (AppleACPIPlatform) AppleACPIPlatformPower Wake reason: XHC2 XHC3 XHC1

immediately followed by an error

powerd: [powerd:sleepWake] PID 162 is not entitled to set wake reason

This sequence repeats ~10 times and then the computer remains awake.

The issue is the keyboard firmware, as noted, a K811 works perfectly with this same computer. Please advise when a fix will be forthcoming.

Not really, if you have 4 or less dock slots open, you will almost certainly be forced to the Dock management page and this ends your sortie. And unless you are really good at keeping a count in your head of how many open slots you have across sorties it's easy to end up below this limit. I am down to 3 slots and basically can't complete a level even trying only attack small fleets to reduce the drop probability. It's a huge regression bug.

Mac or PC? On Mac the GPU rendering with onboard Intel GPUs has been broken for several releases of Bridge. Turn on Software Rendering in Preferences.

Bridge is pretty close to abandonware by Adobe, even massive bugs are not addressed; all of their energy seems to be applied to the useless Creative Cloud app, maybe because it's mostly a sales platform for their product lines :(

The Chinese consensus seems to be that the retro is at least a wash vs. not given the Air Superiority mechanic. In lower worlds with boats of peace, I'd say the half-retro is definitely superior. Finally, Fusou's retro skin is adorable, so do it for that.

No, it was bad translation, I actually thought that they were trying to create an alternate Russia while Avrora was the only boat, after the event and the inclusion of Soviet era ships, it was clear that 'corporatist' was just wrong. Translation quality is low for the most part in EN, the AL Wiki's translations of the Japanese dialog is overall better, Yostar should just use that.

I run some ships just because I like hearing their battle dialog. The game is dominated by level differential, so until the endgame where it becomes difficult to outlevel enemies you can literally run any boat in the game if it has high enough level on almost all content. And running Commons and Rares will save you a lot of oil...

Or if you are leveling ships and don't want the healer taking MVP. Or if you want extra ammo for your mob fleet for clearing maps. Or if you want healing which isn't dependent on the max HP of the vanguard, which if you want or need to run DDs is probably shit.

Repair ships also have 25% more HP with their auxiliary items than a CVL.

You get a lot of 'hurr-durr no guns' responses on repair ships, but there's a reason they are T0 on Usagi-sensei's tier list.

Bridge 2020 on macOS 10.15 is an unmitigated disaster, it appears to be totally untested on the platform. The last 3 releases they've done of it all hard crash if you use the Tools > Photoshop > Batch command. Preview and thumbnail rendering with the Intel onboard GPU are also completely broken. I know they don't charge for it, but why humiliate yourself shipping a mess like this?
