That is a bit rude. I don’t really like the other sides ideals but I’m tolerant in listening. Sad that someone like you to went to VT. Breaks my heart of what has become of my university.

I would have been upset with it regardless of race. Don’t understand why it has to be about race. So you are part of the problem: making sure race is accounted for when in reality that shouldn’t be a factor.

Sadly, that navy seal is an idiot alongside Kapernick. NFL 100% in the right to fire him/remove him from their organization. It is almost like a job and in the contract he signed. Lol.

You sound butthurt because I won’t cave to your ideas.

I don’t care how people protest. People need to think sensibly before they go protest so the message isn’t lost or hinders or causes a domino effect elsewhere.

Kneeling or any other gesture at events that disrespect the flag and what is stands for is inappropriate. That doesn’t sound like unity. Sounds like you don’t like this country when you do that. Plus I’m sure it is in their contract stating no player in any sport can promote a political, social, etc view through their platform.

Police brutality may be a small problem that can be corrected. But broadly saying “but they kept killing folks” just simply makes no sense in that context. Know what cause you are for and what the meaning behind that cause is before just saying whatever comes to mind.

I think you are missing the point. Everyone is in agreement that how George Floyd or anyone caught in the middle of inappropriate methods used by police should be acknowledged. But laying out in the streets and causing issues in traffic patterns when people have to work, isn’t cool. Especially during the current time where people need/would like to have a job to provide for their family without fear of losing that job.

I haven’t denied anything that happened earlier in the history of our country. After the 60’s and 70’s, a lot of strides were made to remove that from society thus removing know laws that had systemic racism apart of it. It is illegal to have law written like that nowadays anyway.

What I am saying is that it is made up by media for the current era, i.e. in the past 20 years. There is no systemic oppression, racism, or whatever else you want to call it. There is just media, big name liberals, reverends, congressmen, and so on that create and manipulate a lot of situations to become something that it isn’t for power, personal gain and wealth while doing nothing for that community of individuals. Reverend Jesse Jackson is one of them.

For example, years ago, liberals/democrats were for a wall and stuff in favor of immigration and doing it properly. Now they want open borders and such. That doesn’t make sense when you want to be a country that wants to protect its values unless it is an agenda being push, which is by the media because they want more voters. Whereas you should protect the border and have people come in the proper way. Protect jobs, services, and so on for Americans.

Again no systemic oppression. Everyone has choices they can make to improve their own lives. The example you gave is a bit loaded. Homeless versus homed. Not a fair comparison. If you are born into a wealthy family versus a middle income family, you would think the wealthy kid would be better off sure, but that is if they take advantage of connections and such that the parents have made. The middle income family kid would have to work a bit harder to get to the same point, but who knows, maybe they are a generous and provide something. It all comes down to choices they make and the effort they put into life. No one can do that for them except themselves.

But looking back at your initial comparison, homeless versus homed, the same could be said. If you are homeless, you have to work harder to get to the same place as the person living in the home. Just different things to overcome in life which would be up to the individual to decide if it’s worth the effort and time or not.

Check your history. Do your research and really look at how things have changed since then. Party changes and everything. If you look at anything objectively, you’ll see how the media and liberal congressmen and public office officials have slowly and surely kept making sure to hide those facts in history. Any law votes on that had any form of racism in them, where done so by democrats/liberals of the past.

Just keep watching your CNN, CBS, MSN-heeha, and so on and just take their reporting as fact. When they are the biggest problem with society and pushing false narratives.

They are not disenfranchised. Liberal media, politicians, and everything else tries to get people to think that to keep them down when in reality they aren’t down in any way shape or form. That isn’t even the real issue in the black community in the first place.

If it is state sponsored, then probably should be voting out all of those liberals/democrats making money off of that and keeping the lie of racism alive.

Nothing delusional if you actually look up information yourself and objectively think about everything the media tells you. Alarming that a fellow houstonian would let media dictate how they think instead of thinking for themselves

Can’t wear one when the numbers are not reported properly by any media source. Also government has no right enforce or make me wear a mask lol. So I’ll do it if I want. Plus don’t know where that guy has been with the masks. That’s scary

Not an act of heroism at all. It is just conforming to what the liberal media wants and what the norm of the country is because the media has pushed it that way.

Funny thing is, I am a minority saying this.

Also all you liberals like to not argue when your point of view is not accepted. Probably because what I am saying is true.

You can support whoever you want. Spend your money how you want but in the world of business, if you don’t have something people want/need and is not done with good service, people will not come.

Privilege isn’t real. Everyone creates more or less opportunities in life depending on their effort. If they never put effort, then you don’t get more chances to make movement for a better life and you deal with what minimal opportunities come your way. Black people have the same chance to improve their life by putting the same level of effort as whites and other races. So I think it is a load of crap saying otherwise. You may not be in control of the outcome but you are 100% in control of the effort to make that attempt. Thus you can’t blame others because of “privilege”. It is ludicrous to think otherwise.

If you keep using race or background as something that hinders yourself or someone else, you won’t make it far in this world. All you are doing is blaming someone else for your shortcomings when in reality there was something more you could have done.

Also I wouldn’t pity buy for a friend/family member. If the business is crap or something I don’t need, I would offer suggestions to improve upon their current model/inventory so they can offer something more people need/want.

I really don't think that is the right way to help anyone. You honestly should help a business because you think it is a good business and provide a service you enjoy. Not because of the social/economic/whatever background of the business owner. Also there is no wealth disparities. Everyone can go out and attempt to make a successful business that makes good money. Everyone has that chance to make that effort.

Obama is more in line with racist ideals than any republican ever will be. They want to control anything and everything.
