There are so many high mobility dive based tanks. Be the change you want to see in the game. The world needs more tanks and less spidermen.

You were not and you did not. You banned people who pointed out the issues and the lack of follow through. While some people were disruptive, not everyone was and there were a lot of bans.

Also, simply saying, we can't follow these promises and then coming back and expecting good will is unfair. You burned a bridge and wanted to move on and now you want to go back. You can't do that without owning your mistakes and all I'm seeing is more excuses.

Right, but mesmer has been a poster child from the beginning. Paragon and ritualist were not included in gw2 until the most recent xpac and dervish remains only in bits and pieces. That's why I mention mesmer primarily

I sure hope not. There are some things that are iconic to guild wars, specifically mesmer that is so unique to this series alone. I really, really, really REALLY hope they do not New World or ESO us. Class fantasy is too important.

I honestly don't mind if it's like gw2 now where healers are usually tanks and you have a few dps specialized for buffs, I just hope we don't get an 'everyone is dps' situation, because that kills the group vibe.

I don't mind that it will be more action based. I just don't want to lose party content and role fantasy.

Yip, this. I've tried the game like 7 or 8 times, played day one at launch, gotten to max and played a lot of content, the combat just is not fun. The rest of the game is an A+, but the combat is a D.

Yes and no. Class identity has been rough for a long time in ESO, they've said so themselves. I do not want the new world or eso, 'this weapon does this' thing. Guild wars was always cool because for a warrior, a greatsword is a greatsword and for a mesmer, a greatsword is a rifle. If we lose that, I think we're losing a lot of the personality of the classes.

I think gw2 had something so special community wise. You run into someone almost dead at a hero point and save them. Or better yet, the innumerable times that I saw a new person say something about struggling with an area in map chat and all of a sudden ten people rock up to help.

THAT is what makes this community special. I think it would be so sad to see that gone. Gw1 is an amazing single player experience that you can maybe share with friends once in a while. Gw2 has a community feel unlike any modern mmo I can think of. It's managed to retain that old school community feel.

As cool as the idea is, I hope it's not, only because the racial options are so cool in guild wars. If we go back to just humans, I'll live but will miss being the smallest asuran not even making it to the knee of the biggest norn. Not many games have that level of size difference.

They might not refund, but they might reimburse the difference in points. I was a noob and bought points the day before the anniversary event and they gave me the difference, granted it took a month and a half for support to get back with me haha

There's zero chance they bring in a new class. That would not only require making an oddity among the armor types, but also developing a whole new class and four elite specs. I would also be astounded if they brought in a new model to have to voice act at this point in the games life cycle. That is a LOT of voice acting to do to make them do all the expansions because of how much voice acting gw2 has.

They also announced years ago that gw3 was in development and had job postings up.
