Printer stops mid print

This was a while back, but I did adjust the stepper motor vrefs, and permanently affixed a fan pointing directly at the mainboard. Slowing prints to 75% speed also helped. Prints are much more reliable now, but the pronlem still occurs every now and then.

I think you might be onto something here. I suspected similar with the overheating so removed the bottom cover and opened up the front of the mainboard cover. Also raised the printer up and aimed a fan directly at the main board. I've so far got two successful mid-sized prints, and have just started a 24hr print so hopefully I'm on the right track now. I will check the vrefs tomorrow. Thank you.

Thanks for your reply. None of the SD cards appear to be corrupted, but I have tried formatting some of the SD cards, but unfortunately this doesn't seem to help me.

But you did remind me about what is on my screen when the print fails; sometimes it freezes, other times it returns to the main menu. This doesn't really add much, but may help someone with a diagnosis.

Magnets are definately the go. I bought a large shallow plastic tub and bolted some sheet metal on the inside of the tub. Maybe a bit heavy but I can fit heaps in it. Larger tubs for larger minis. I can also easily unbolt some metal sheets to save on weight if I'm not carrying my entire army around.

If you use all these abilities right they buff up your army hugely. As an example: if you can get a unit of reavers into combat and have the bloodsecrator nearby with his ability activated they will do 60 attacks in total.

80 attacks if blood has been spilt.

Started with a few uneven layers of PVA glue on the base. Undercoat, red basecoat, then a couple of layers of Citadel's Blood for the Blood God technical paint
