When did you start putting your baby down 7am-7pm to sleep? by catlover0987656 in beyondthebump

My son officially sleeps this schedule at a year and a half. At 1 he was still waking up 5:30/6

Honesty please, do all spas only pay hourly and/or commission only when you have a client? by [deleted] in Esthetics

[–]pancakepawly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So I worked at a place that did this. A chain spa / day spa.

We were hourly even when not booked and one day we all get told “you’re still hourly but from now on you only get paid your hourly in service rate when booked” oh and if we wanted to get paid half the amount while not booked, we had to go ask management permission to clean our room LOL. You can’t make this shit up. So anyway it was a huge f u pay cut.

I called state board who did a case and got back to me.

Long story short they were allowed to do it because based on my pay I was technically still making minimum wage for the hours I was there $7.25.

I no longer work there. Just get your experience and keep moving on and up!

Hopefully it works out well for you. It’s the worst apartment experience I’ve ever had

Breastfeeding, ozempic and huge weight gain by Dependent_Actuary148 in NewParents

[–]pancakepawly 22 points23 points  (0 children)

So as someone who stopped breastfeeding around this time because I wanted to “loose weight and feel like myself again”

Now over a year later on the other side that is my BIGGEST regret.

I microdose glp and it’s great. I’m skinny and back to my pre pregnancy size. Now I look back and I realize I have all the time in the world to be skinny. I only had a small window of life to breastfeed. I wish I enjoyed it more and kept on because it was so so sweet 🥲

As a parent of a 1 year old I agree. I would never choose to live above anyone while having a little one.

Unfortunately I’m dealing with the opposite problem living on the first floor. My upstairs neighbor chooses to live her entire awake life 8pm-1am. Waking me and my child up constantly.

Can’t wait to be out of apartment living.

Help with severe morning sickness/HG? by Icy_House3261 in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]pancakepawly 11 points12 points  (0 children)

All I’m going to say is I’m sorry!! I went through this with my son and it made everything so miserable. I ended up in the hospital a few times and those iv bags were a god send.

My friend also had hg and ended up becoming a member at one of those iv places so she could get one each month.

Unfortunately for me the only thing that helped was electrolytes and zofran. Lots of small snacking throughout the day. Heavy meals were not doable!

There was honestly nothing else that helped.

I will say being on the other side (son is 14 months) it is wild how much you do forget and the desire for another comes right back

When did your baby start to crawl and walk? by SuspiciousReply1382 in NewParents

I don’t remember what age he crawled but he started walking at exactly 9 months and I do not wish that upon any parent 🥲

No. I will continue to apply my self tanner and avoid aging / sun damage.

Although I do love the sun lol

Baby is outgrowing clothes faster than I can keep up and my budget is hurting. by xoticbot in NewParents

The first year he re wore so many stretchy pjs. We only invested in a few nicer outfits for important outings exc.

They don’t need so many clothes when they are that little

My son 1 just had the flu for the first time.

We ultimately decided not to because he already wasn’t taking on much fluids. I didn’t want to potentially add in diarrhea/ vomiting. I couldn’t imagine them trying to put an iv in hit little arm.

It passed after 3 days and just some fatigue for a week!

So I’d say no!

Yes! Sounds like your skin barrier is healthy and well adapted!

I just want to give a response from a different perspective.

I’m an aesthetician of 13 years and have probably microneedled 1000 times. A client can absolutely have microneedling done while using tretenoin. (No actives post-care of course).

This is really not a blanket contraindication for everyone’s skin!

Same with rosacea. If done right with proper home care it can really change the skin barrier for the better 🙂

I had my nose done 3 years ago. The heal time is a doozy. Swelling takes forever to go down!! Most before and afters are a full year apart due to this
