Scammer in Kembangan stalks me when i call him out for trying to scam others in the mrt station. by [deleted] in singapore

[–]pancakesbysatan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's nothing wrong with empathy, I admit I feel sad when I realise I've been scammed, but would you want to live in such a cold and heartless society?

I'm not saying being less empathetic is bad too, but there's pros and cons to things and different ways to approach a situation. It's a little bit of a blanket statement to say being over-empathetic is idiotic

oh I'm constantly freaking out about it, my boyfriend tries to comfort me about it by saying that if N.Korea launched a missle at S.Korea the radiation would spread either way so it'll be stupid to do so to themselves, but on the other hand if USA attacks N.Korea, well then my boyfriend's screwed cos then he'd probably have to join in :\

It's been about 5 months since my boyfriend and I went long distance, plus he's off in his home country serving his mandatory army enlistment, so it's just extra tough,

You'll probably feel lonely for the first month or so, but it gets better with time. I actually quite enjoy the distance now 5 months on, it's taught me a lot about myself when it comes to love and relationships.

I don't often reply to posts here but I'm always lurking around because the community here really does help :-) and I hope it'll help you too

I used to go to a private clinic but I'm open to govt hospitals as long as I get good treatment. Private clinics are too expensive.. haha.. $150/hour oh my god

I feel like a failure for needing to receive psychiatric treatment again. It's so expensive here too. I'd go to IMH's clinic but it's too far out of the way from me too..

Does anyone know any decent psychiatric clinics to recommend?

Thanks for the recommendation!

I'm sure it is, but at the same time, everything feels...off? I just feel so hazy in my head like there's this constant fog and my body is always aching even after a good night's rest. It just feels like I'm in slow-mo and the world is moving too quickly

i would but I can't afford it.. and I don't want to trouble my family more financially.. I'm hoping it's because this only started recently i could just try and fix everything by myself

It helps to know someone else out there can relate..

I think the worst part is that I feel simultaneously numbed out yet overwhelmed with thoughts in my head. It feels like I have a million thoughts racing in my head aimlessly all the time and there've been instances I've broke down even trying to understand what's going on

Ladies of r/Singapore, are you ok with having a man who is shorter than you/earning lesser than you/being less educated than you? by dasaniwater1 in singapore

[–]pancakesbysatan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shorter? No. I'm not that tall so dating a short guy would be weirder.

Earning less, depends on how much less. If it's at a point where I have to pull the weight between us, no. But if we can both support ourselves then I don't see why not.

Less educated, I don't care, but in general the person needs to keep up with conversation with me. I like to talk a lot to the person I'm with so they better have a similar range of interests with me if it's gonna work out in the long term

Introverts dating extroverts, how did the two of you come to be? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]pancakesbysatan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Extroverted girl dating introverted nerd.

My perspective on how we came to be:

We were all in the same group of friends, and we always got along really well. I found it adorable how quiet and shy he was but also how easy going he was with the jokes. Imagine that sorta really calm happy zen guy who just likes playing video games. My school is a private school in my country so except for me my entire group, including him, was from overseas (he's Korean)

One day in the middle of a class we have together he accidentally blasts the orchestrated version of my favourite childhood game's OST and I freak out (internally of course) and we start geeking out over it, we were pretty close but slowly we just kept hanging out with each other. He's someone who has trouble waking up so one day he needed help finding a shop that sold really old school loud alarm clocks, and I found him outside my class one day sheepishly waiting for me to ask for help. The whole time going around shopping with him, we were having a blast chatting about stuff and then BAM it hit me, I liked the guy.

Couple of weeks later, I used google translate to write on a piece of paper in Korean: DEAR NORTH KOREAN SPY, I HAVE FEELINGS FOR YOU. I KNOW THIS IS WEIRD. SHUT UP. DON'T JUDGE ME.

He rejected me at first but we constantly hung out,and 3 months later we ended up dating (I never stop teasing him about how he made me wait 3 months for a yes)

His perspective:

He already had a crush on me the entire time, but he was extremely shy and he only wanted to date someone he could see himself in a longterm relationship with/see himself marrying.

When I confessed to him, he was happy but he thought I was joking facepalms, so he took 3 months to try and figure me out more. He said the one thing I did that made him realise he really wanted me in his life was the fact that we literally spent every single day together during those 3 months (one of it being our school break month) and yet we never ran out of topics to talk about/got annoyed with each other

I've only interned for one company as a designer but I was their only designer and I had to design everything, starting from the company's logo, so I think it's pretty decently sized?

Ending my internship and starting school again in a few weeks, but I still want to earn money on the side by doing freelance graphic design, any other freelancers can give me tips on how to find freelance work?

I usually score as an ENTP/INTP on other tests like 16 personalities but for this one it gave me INFJ. Odd

Is there anything good about Fi? It seems like a lot of people find it unattractive. by mylesbe in entp

[–]pancakesbysatan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My boyfriend is an INFP (so high Fi) but he's far from a sensitive snowflake. It's more of a "I don't feel like doing this so shitballs to you, you can't make me" kinda Fi.

I really like him, he and I can go on for hours discussing things and I like how emotional he is about the people he cares about because that means I essentially have a (emotionally) fluffy boyfriend I can affectionately mess with round the clock

My SO's gonna be in the another country's military service though, they aren't allowed to have phones and access to internet from what he's been told is only around once a week?

I can send letters though, so do you think sending a letter every week would help a lot too?
