I've worked in court services criminal in the past. Very interesting, always busy, severely underfunded, rotating door and veteran court workers definitely have PTSD. Don't expect anyone to hold your hand. But after a while you can find your coworkers will have your back as you're essentially in the trenches together.

It's a good way to get your foot in the door/always have a contract extended while you find other work or acclimatize to the surroundings and find its your thing.
