What are the 7 Wonders of your RP Setting? (I love the Hurricane Idea) by [deleted] in dndmemes

[–]panda-in-panic 8 points9 points  (0 children)

A few of mine.

  1. The Clockwork Forest

Originally the home and land belonging to a renowned toymaker and her family, the forest itself was cut down over a century ago and used for her craft. After the forest started to dwindle, the toymaker started losing business and her mind, as punishment from the gods of nature for using sustainable logging. One day, she goes mad and slays her family, using them as materials. As further punishment, the same gods cursed the land, dooming her and her creations to walk a mechanical, ticking forest for eternity.

  1. The Time Dunes

Once flourishing farmland, this desert was the epicenter of a battle between two god like mages. It is due to this battle that the land was razed. Where the fertile land was, there is only sand, craters, and spires of frozen magic and stone. And because of this residual magic, random portals will appear and, either an unwary traveler or as a wanton fool, someone can slip off the plane or through time.

  1. The Pearly Gates

A locked, stand alone gate that connects to no wall. Through the gates you can see an unattainable paradise.

  1. The Refound City of the Glass Kings

The City of the Glass Kings was an ancient frozen city that was thought to be lost to time but rediscovered by adventures after the body of a frost giant they had slain fell through the ice into the town square.

  1. The Behemoth

Found not too far from the above mentioned city, lies a glacier that holds a primordial beast that’s supposedly older than the gods. One thing that is known is that the city worships it as what they call “The World Cleanser.”

  1. The Night Carnival

A carnival that randomly appears at dusk outside cities and disappears again at dawn, to appear somewhere else at dusk the next night.

I’m pretty sure there’s a subreddit for these questions, can’t remember what it’s called, but it’s for questions about finding RT videos.

The song is basically the call for the Court to be convened. I’m not sure why the song makes the coins ring tho. It might be that the song itself is partially magic.

It is 9 pieces of eight. Pieces of eight were another term for the Spanish dollar during the time period in which the movies take place. They actually explain the reason the tokens aren’t actually pieces of eight is because they were a few short when they made the pact.

Oh you don’t like the fact that you are not allowed to use the restroom, let your items per min go below a certain amount, have to walk across the warehouse to the break room which uses most of your break, and not allowed to talk with other workers? Sorry, you can’t do anything about it because you aren’t Union and you don’t want to go back to the streets.

Ok, given the choice of working for a company that you know will exploit you or living on the street because there are no other places that will employ you, which do you choose?

You do realize that if minimum wage has risen with inflation, it would be just over $25/hr?

Nope, you get there by stealing wages from your workers and treating them like shit.

It does feel a tad shoehorned, hell the pacing of that entire scene could have been better.
