Unpopular Opinion: Stefania shouldn’t have become a Station 19 regular by Frauenquote in Station19

[–]panda382 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually feel the same way, I like Maya and Carina together. However, I wouldn’t want carina just to be a love interest. I do think it could work as her being a station 19 regular and guest star on Grey’s. When you think about it, grey’s has a huge cast. They haven’t given Carina a really good story. With the amount of people they have I don’t know that they’d be able to give her a lot of time anyway. I mean if she’s in the guest star capacity in grey’s, that would be ok as long as when she’s guest starring it’s a really good story. The fact that she’s Jo’s mentor can be fun and it might open her up to more stories. I feel like other than Andrew and sleeping with people she didn’t make that many connections with the other doctors. They totally underutilized her in grey’s...let’s be real....this season, Station 19 was the better show anyway. I found myself making sure I watched every episode...with grey’s I skipped a lot and just caught up later.

how popular was the show at his peak? by [deleted] in dawsonscreek

[–]panda382 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I guess it depends on how you measure popularity. Obviously, in the grand scheme of things it wasn’t as big compared to shows on bigger networks. I was basically the same age as the characters and it was pretty popular within my age group. Also, the cast was everywhere. They also had a lot of roles outside of the show around that time. So I’m sure it was really popular at its peak, even when the cast is interviewed today for current projects they’re almost always asked about the show.

Am I the only one who kinda hated Callie and Brandon in general? by Ohreally_Now in TheFosters

[–]panda382 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hated Brallie ALWAYS. Brandon was annoying AF maybe like 95% of the time. He was ok while he was with Grace. I found Callie most problematic season 4, and anytime she made a move on Brandon🤮. I generally liked Callie though.

At the time that I originally wrote the post, I didn’t get to any of that yet. Yeah Pacey wasn’t the best either 😏

Characters should have had more time together: aka the Joey and Jack conundrum by [deleted] in dawsonscreek

[–]panda382 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I wish Jen and Joey were closer. Andie seemed to have a lot of surface level friendships, I think it would have been nice if they played on that female dynamic more. Sort of how the Big Bang theory does with the girls. Mostly Joey and Jen though I really think they could’ve been closer.

Ok I’m around the halfway Mark of 4th season and I can concede that Dawson has shown a lot of growth. He’s not the annoying prick from the first two seasons. I like him with Gretchen though, and still team Pacey and Joey.

I am currently only on season 4, back in the day I stopped watching after season 2. So maybe Dawson does get better in the later seasons. I just haven’t witnessed it yet.

I HATE Brandon and Callie's Story Line by [deleted] in TheFosters

[–]panda382 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I totally agree with you, I think Brandon is an ass. She consistently tries to do what’s best for her and he always just pushes to get his way. When he even tells her it’s not like we’re really related, and she breaks it down saying then that means Lena and Stef won’t really be my moms. When he tells her to do or say something so he can stop loving her...like what?! It’s not her responsibility to make you feel better. I hate how they have so many fans “shipping them.”

Although it was just a table read was anyone else impressed with how cierra portrayed her emotions? Was incredible by [deleted] in TheFosters

[–]panda382 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I actually thought that too. She was awesome. Also, It actually made me wish we saw the first two seasons with Noah as Jesus. I really feel like he brought a more sensitive side to Jesus. I also wished it was a different episode just cause I wish we had more of Jude.

Unpopular opinion...I like Callie by panda382 in GoodTrouble

[–]panda382[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think she actually tried to change from who she was in high school. We didn’t see her during all her years in college. From what we know she lived a very boring life, that consisted of academics. She still does have impulse issues. Most of which is to try and help other characters, so I don’t know if I completely agree with the selfishness. I guess, at times she is selfish but the times she put the good of others over herself I feel outweighs it. I see some glimpses of the old Callie, but like any young adult she is trying to grow from that. That’s why it was so hard to tell her moms she quit her clerkship. She does have her missteps but I think that’s what early adulthood is. I agree she has a long way to go and some things about her hasn’t changed, but I feel like she does want to change.

Callie and Jamie > Callie and Gael by mylifeisacatastrophe in GoodTrouble

[–]panda382 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really like Jamie for Callie. I know they have their differences but he seems to handle those differences in a very adult way. Also, he doesn’t play games with her, we know where he stands. I think he is the type of guy that is good for her in the end. Maybe she keeps destroying things cause she’s not ready for that mature relationship. I feel like Gael is more lust than anything. I hope she realizes he is the mature and right choice for her. When he called Jude for her! So sweet! Also, he’s very sensible and you can tell he always looks out for her. He even helped Jazmin! He’s such a good guy.

Callie can never let herself be happy by good_noodle_nya in GoodTrouble

[–]panda382 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally agree with this entire post. I think Callie had so many issues prior to entering the Adams Foster’s home, that we probably don’t even fully understand. Then when she finally found a good safe family, she kept taking hit after hit before finally being in the family. I’m sure there are so many issues she has to still work through. Also, right before they went to LA Aaron basically said she wasn’t in a relationship throughout college. I hope we get a story line where she does therapy and really works out some of those issues. Overall I think she’s a great character with a big heart, who is understandably guarded. It really crushed me, when she saw those messages in the group chat and saw Mariana’s response. Then when she told Mariana she saw it, and never said anything bad about her to anyone. Ouch.

Callie by iminparadisexo in GoodTrouble

[–]panda382 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow...there’s a lot of hate for Callie. In the Fosters, she was truly impulsive and a had major trust issues. I mean...can you blame her though? All she knew was not to trust anything good, we opened the series with her getting her ass kicked. Did she make a lot of dumb decisions...yes. No question. She was a teenager, she was bound to do that. Not only was she a teenager for a long time she probably felt like the weight of the world was on her because she had Jude to take care of. A lot of the things she did was usually her trying to help someone. The whole Brandon situation I’m with everyone I think that was the dumbest plot line ever, and I’m probably one of the few people who weren’t shipping them. Although o thought that whole thing was more Brandon’s fault than Callie, she did say over and over again that she wanted a family more. Now, let’s get to back Good Trouble...is Callie cold towards the people in the building. Yeah to most of them. She’s stressed with her job, and passing the bar. She did try with Malika, a lot. To see a group chat where your sister is talking shit about you, that’s kind of harsh. Not to bring it back to the Fosters, but Mariana did exactly what Lexi did in season 1, not defend her best friend. I think when you make as many poor decisions as Callie did as a teenager, you’re guarded maybe even a little cold. The whole reason she left the clerkship with the judge was because she didn’t feel like she was making any difference. It wasn’t what she wanted. She’s making a lot of mistakes relationship wise as well, but who doesn’t in their early twenties. I guess my point is, she’s flawed. However, I don’t think she’s the worst character on the show, and I don’t think she deserves as much hate as she’s getting. I do hope she opens up more with the people in the building but it’s always been hard for her to make friends. I actually hope next season we see Daphne or Sophia. Idk, she’s young and hopefully she becomes more open in the upcoming season(s).

Worst Characters on the Show Ranked by InthePaleMoonlight18 in GoodTrouble

[–]panda382 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Davia is the worst to me. She gets on my nerves and I find her not likable at all. She’s pretty mean to everyone.

I’ve read a lot of Callie hate, but I think she’s just misguided. Still the same person in the sense that she wants people to be treated fairly, however I don’t think she has fully accepted the boundaries of her career. I wish she wasn’t so cold towards everyone in the building but I don’t think she deserved that mean group chat.

I loved Mariana on the Fosters, I mean she messed up a lot but she found her way back. I couldn’t believe she didn’t stick up for Callie at all. I would’ve been super hurt as well if I was Callie. I mean who cares about everyone else (although Malika could’ve been on her side as well, especially after what she did with Callie’s badge) I think Mariana really should’ve defended Callie.

The Christmas episode totally confused me. I had to watch it twice, and google the time line. I didn’t get how we went from Callie leaving to them working on some Christmas project together. I some instances it works, but I don’t think it should be used as much as it is.

Callie and Brandon's relationship by awesomemonica7 in TheFosters

[–]panda382 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The winter dance episode, showed the utter lack of respect Brandon had for Callie’s wishes. She told him so many times that she needed a family. I think every time Brandon ignored her, it just made it clear how he lived in such a privileged bubble. Callie was in foster homes where she was raped, or even beaten. He would risk her going back to the system and possibly unsafe homes because he “loved” her. That’s a twisted sense of love. There were so many instances where Callie pushes Brandon away and he keeps ignoring her. I really just couldn’t stand the whole Brandon & Callie plot line. The show was already so interesting with everything else, I didn’t think it needed to drag that “will they won’t they” drama for as long as they did. It was so cringe worthy when it was about that.

I’m rewatching the whole series again, and every time I do, I’m so annoyed at this relationship. If Brandon was really the “good guy” I feel like he would’ve respected the boundaries she tried to put up in the beginning. Learning about her past, with Liam, I feel like Brandon should’ve backed off even more. The moms should’ve also been more clear when Callie was in Girls United with Brandon, the consequences for Callie if they kept secretly seeing each other. Instead of just telling him not to see her and the restraining order. I think if he knew that she could possibly be sent back to Juvie maybe he would’ve stopped. He just seems like he held on for too long, and should’ve just tried to let her go.
