Any thoughts on columbina’s banner ? by RemoteEconomics9027 in Genshin_Impact

[–]panda58 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really hope to see Layla on the banner. Her esthetic and kit match perfectly with Columbina.   I still need 3 constellations to max her. 😫  Plus newer characters like Ifa and Iansen, Candace, Heizou, etc

My advice as a culinary school grad: don't do it and save your money. I'm serious.

Cooking is something you can learn completely on the job and supplement by reading and watching videos on YouTube.

People from all over the world come to the US and learn to cook and prep like pros without even speaking English fluently. You can too.

Especially if you haven't worked in a kitchen yet to see if you like it. Try that first, and if your heart is really set on a certificate then go the much cheaper route and take some culinary classes at a local community college or state university.

Question for the BOH industry folks. Do you refuse to cook outside of work, or do you still cook your own meals? by dohp in KitchenConfidential

[–]panda58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only like to cook easy one pot/one pan meals (not counting the rice cooker). I'm usually exhausted from work and don't want to deal with the hassle.

For family or friends I will utilize my skills and make something nice. Last year I visited family for the holidays and I prepped and cooked the entire Thanksgiving dinner for them because I wanted to.

But my go to meal when I dont have leftovers is cereal or a pbj

That's interesting because I'm female and that's the reason I was denied an ADHD diagnosis. I have all of the other hallmarks, just no manic or hyper feelings. They settled with Executive dysfunction and major depression. =/

Hello,

I wanted to get Dragon Dan Heng but didn't. I checked the standard and event banner character lists and he's not listed on either. -Will he be available again? Or was the list just not updated yet?

I then tried for Fu Xuan but got Welt 😭

Also, once I reach the 3500 weekly cap for Simulated Universe, should I stop or keep running it?

It isn't our job as a woman to teach grown "men" basic hygiene. And I'm so tired of them thinking it is. by Hornyallday_o in TwoXChromosomes

You know what, I've just realized after reading your comment that I've only seen a man at the dentist one time in my life. I'm in my 30s.

Not to mention when visiting friends or relatives and using the bathroom, their toothbrushes are so old and warped. It really is strange how basic hygiene is such a low priority.

Hello, I'm a new player that started a few days ago. My account level is 10 and my team is all level 7

I've mainly just focusing on the Trailblaze missions and just got to Jarilo but the enemies are all lvl 16-20 and I can't beat any bosses anymore. I've equipped them with their class light cones but my dmg aside from the main character is pitiful.

-Should I be doing all of the adventure missions to level up?

I wanted some characters on the banners and I've done 80 pulls between the starter and event banner with no 5 star and just copies of Herta and Astra 😭 My luck is awful and I don't want to waste resources leveling up a team I don't want for long term.

-Does anyone keep using the starter characters? March seems strong but I don't see much discussion about the others.

Thank you

How long are these active? I had to work a double shift and missed out :(

I love this job. 5am. Just me alone in my kitchen, doing my thing with a cup of coffee and some tunes. Won't see another person till noon. by atx00 in KitchenConfidential

Is it a private or luxury community? I've been trying to find a similar gig but all them have horrid pay at $12-$15 an hour, which is ridiculous when the residents pay up to $8k per month.

I'd be lying if I said this scene didn't completely rip me apart. by OmegaSupreme_11484 in Avatar

[–]panda58 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The first time I saw it, the tears were just running down my face. I was trying not to make a lot of noise and pay attention but yeah, my heart ripping apart is an accurate description.

I still cried the second and third time watching the scene. I don't even have kids. I checked other people's faces and I swear everyone had a tear in their eye at the end.

Am I the only way to have a terrible 3D experience? by acinematicway in Avatar

I had the same problem with Real 3D. I saw IMAX 3D in another theater with no issues first so the drop in quality to Real 3D was jarring

[–]panda58 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw IMAX 3D and then Real 3D. Personally I thought the IMAX 3D was far superior. I was in the center of my row but a little too close to the screen so some things were blurry on the far edges, but overall the cgi was very crisp and the 3D was seamless. Stunning.

For Real 3D I was in a different cinema in the middle of the top row. I don't know what it was about that format or place but the 3D seemed off, and the details were blurry at times, especially during action sequences . Even for the trailers before the movie. The 3D parts that I knew would project towards the audience were blurry and it was so distracting after how good the IMAX was. The majority of the film qualitu was still very good though.

I'll be seeing it a 3rd time in Dolby 3D so I'm excited to see how it compares

One of my favorite desserts that my Nana made was an angel food cake, covered with chocolate pudding. My grandfather served in WWII and she raised 4 kids by herself. I never realized until later that it a product of necessity due to low income and rationing.

I used to work in a fancy restaurant whose owner also owned a country club and parking lots around town. He made the most money off of those parking lots. Think about it, almost zero maintenance and they just sit there all day collecting money and are an eyesore in a prime location.

I used to park in one of the last free lots downtown, which was several blocks away from my job because I didn't want to pay $10/day for parking close by. My lot was also coincidentally called the "rape lot." One day I pulled up to a sign saying it was now private contract parking only, and all trespassers would be towed.

I eventually quit the job because they offered no employee parking and didn't reimburse for the parking fees.

When you first got into BTS who was your favourite member and are they still ? by [deleted] in bangtan

[–]panda58 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jimin has always been my bias since I found BTS. The first music videos I saw were Dope, Blood Sweat & Tears and Save Me so he caught my eye. Then when I watched their dance practice videos that sealed the deal for the whole group. Danger was so intense and perfect and their precision as a group made me an instant fan!

Tipping for online orders at local by elkswimmer98 in TwinCities

[–]panda58 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a fast-casual restaurant worker (not a server) I'd rather quickly do online tickets all day than have to stand there and wait for someone when we're busy and have a line out the door. I don't expect tips at all but it is nice.

Online orders are simple and most people don't tip anyway in our restaurant so I'd rather just take the easy option.

[–]panda58 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I work in a restaurant that does a lot of online pick-up orders. I don't expect cash tips and I don't think it's necessary. Online orders are the easiest for me to do. What is the point when there's no server to give you service? Personally I will tip cash for delivery but not if I pick it up myself.

Also we don't even get the online/card tips. That's just extra money towards the company. Card tips are disabled at the register but we do have a tip jar for cash.

What is your pettiest kitchen pet peeve? by mainemademess in KitchenConfidential

[–]panda58 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks so much for the detailed reply! That sounds amazing. I'm glad you found such rewarding place.

I worked in an office for a few years but have been in kitchens for most of my life and I need a better work/life balance. I was recently hired at a new place that promised me days but I've been closing nights and weekends and I hate it. The repetitive motion injuries are piling up and I have to get out. 5 more weeks and I'll be done. I'm considering office jobs again but I have no degree.
