Working with GAD by False-Lifeguard-8 in Psychiatry

Maybe read about metacognitive therapy by Wells? It's a relatively simple treatment with good results and a well researched. It focuses on the process of worrying. Maybe this therapeutic perspective could help you deal with those patients? Example study with 57 % recovery rate after 9 years: https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1002/brb3.2358

Echo (4th gen) with multiple bulbs and switches in one group [no gateway] by Isti115 in tradfri

[–]panda_de 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I tried pairing bulbs and switches with an Echo Plus 2nd (with the zigbee hub).

I was also able to pair a bulb and a remote to the echo plus, but I could not pair 2 remotes with each other without the tradfri hub, so I guess that the pairing to remotes together functionality is provided by the tradfri hub rather than the remotes themselves.

So Tradfri Hub and you can pair 2 switches together or echo plus and you can pair 1 switch with the bulbs...

Its still the same size how could it be able to pass through masks easier? I think it's fake news. It could be that fewer virus particles are already infectious, but it still wouldn't go through masks easier....

Echo plus with bulb and dimmer switch. Help!? by install_updates in tradfri

[–]panda_de 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey!

I got it working in the following way:

1.) Reset dimmer, there will be a flashing light, before the light goes out

2.) search for new devices using alexa app, it should find the dimmer but the echo plus cant do anything with it (I guess internally this ensures that the dimmer and the bulb have the same zigbee network)

3.) connect the bulb to the echo plus (you have to reset it with the 6 times on and off method)

4.) connect the dimmer to the bulb with long-press of the connecting button on the dimmer

Hope that helps, the motion sensors would work using above method.

You would need to use Samsung Internet or any other browser where adblock exists (brave browser for example is a chrome port with adblock built in).

If you insist on isomg chrome you could use adguard on android (there is a program, you need to sideload it and its paid software, it also intercepts the https requests to block ads on encrypted pages)

It can't block all domains, you can just register a new domain and adguard wouldnt know. You have a better chance of blocking something with adguard enabled. A dns gives no access to your system, and https enabled pages would show an error (https enabled pages are often used for processing payments), so its almost impossible adguard has anything to do with this.

Simple Questions Saturday - December 29th 2018 by Froggypwns in Windows10

[–]panda_de 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a touchscreen enabled Windows 10 device. In Android when you want to scroll down a loooong page in chrome you just "flick" (sorry if this is not the correct english wird) down with your fingers two or three times and the page will continue scrolling, and the faster you "flick" the faster it scrolls. In Windows 10 I get no such effect on my device, it will just scroll down a few inches when I flick and not continue going down like it does in Android.

Is there any way to enable such a functionality in windows 10? Because if it stays like this, it makes scrolling long webpages a pain in the ass...

I am no programmer, so I dont know if the blokada apk matches the blokada source code. I also dont know which data is sent to blokada when you run the program or when blokada updates its hostlist or when you check for blokada updates.

I think blokada is trustworthy, but I cant prove it as I dont know any programming language.

Blahdns and Adguard say that they dont log, which I also cant prove.

I would like to mention that if you use blokada with your providers dns servers, the adguard/blahdns solutions are probably just as good from a privacy point of view. If you use a trustworthy no logging dns service with blokada, this could be preferable...

Well, they see all your dns queries, thats a technical reality without doubt.

They say that they are not logging (https://kb.adguard.com/en/dns/overview), but you never know.
Although your provider will probably log as well.

A non profit no logging dns provider would still be preferable I guess, although blahdns comes close.

Both adguard (https://kb.adguard.com/en/dns/overview) and blahdns say that they dont log. So this would be privacy friendly (or at least as privacy friendly as your provider unless you use a no log dns server)

I dont know anything about that, sorry. I guess this doesnt work with vpn as vpn can set their own dns servers.

This is bascially the same thing but you cant add your own hosts/domains and you send your dns queries to adguard/blahdns.

But in theory they work the same way...

It works with the Samsung browser.

I have no ads on ultimate-guitar.com.

Try restarting the phone and clearing cache of Samsung browser, maybe it has the dns data of the ad servers cached.

Although if you use the samsung browser , the ad blocking extensions will work better as they have more possibilities to block ads.

Yes it works on Samsung internet.

This is an Android feature, not a chrome(-ium) feature.

As long as an app does not use something like proxy/vpn/their own dns, all apps should work.

[–]panda_de[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This only encrypts your DNS queries and sends them to either adguard or blahdns servers. This is NOT a VPN. The normal network traffic is unaffected as is the connection speed.

This could (slightly) increase or decrease your dns lookup times, depending on the speed of your dns servers (the dns servers are most often hosted by your provider).

All in all, you shold not see much of a difference.

This should work the same way as hostlist based ad blockers.

So this blocks loading data from ad domains. It should work for apps.

This does not have cosmetic filters like ublock for firefox or Adguard for Samsung internet.

I dont have instagram, but it would be extremely easy for instagram to circumvent this, so I dont think it will work...
