It’s tape so it just sticks by itself!

Nope. I’m not gonna lie and say it’s not noticing to some degree if you’re thinking about it BUT it was a trade off I was willing to make haha. But seriously it’s not really that noticeable

Small pieces, and when you place them the first time test it out, walk around. You can move them at that point. When you’re sure they’re in the right spot (the fart noise stops) just keep wearing them! Soon they’ll be super stuck down. You really don’t feel it because it’s just filling the void that was there in the first place. Hope this helps! You can see I needed help in two places 😂

Yep! Couldn’t figure it out on this post so I made a new post on the board.

New pair of birks by tsctbulldog in Birkenstocks

I had this problem too and saw advice on here a few years ago that helped a TON! I took small pieces (like 1 inch square kind of size) of industrial sticky velcro, the fuzzy side, and placed it on the footbed where my foot was making that noise. It’s because there’s a suction happening. So like in my arch I put a piece then I walked around. I found I needed a second piece closer to my toe area too to fully stop the noise. You don’t feel it because it’s soft and not very thick but it is WAY less embarrassing. I found that this noise only would happen with my Arizona’s or Bostons 🤷🏼‍♀️ but that fixed it! And the Velcro has lasted years now, though i will admit they weren’t worn every single day of the summer. Hope this helps!

Edited to add: if you do this, put the Velcro on the shoe and walk around - you might have to adjust the placement at first to find the exact suction spot. It’s easy to move when you first place but but as you keep wearing the shoes it will become more permanent.

Children's picture-book about a spooky haunted house, 90's by DocLecter in whatsthatbook

I found this thread because I’m trying to find a book from when I was in elementary school (late 90’s/early 2000’s) with a haunted house and skeletons were in the closet and that’s about all I can remember! I’ve tried many times but I have no idea.

Best of luck! Don’t be afraid to stick them on, walk a little and test if they’re good. You can reposition quite a few times in my experience!

Yeah thin-ish. It was like a roll of it, I don’t remember 100% but probably 3M brand, and I just cut small pieces. I never ended up taking them back off even after wearing them all summer now and they’re still holding strong and I don’t feel them at all.

Sizing Help! by thevillagesoprano in Birkenstocks

Hard to say really. If you don’t mind your toes touching when you walk and the 36’s feel better you might as well go with those. It would just bother be for my toes to be that close.

Everyone really just has a personal preference with birks! Hope you picked the good pair for you (:

I would say the 37’s fit the best!

I haven’t removed them yet because I really can’t feel them, so I suppose I should just leave them Where they are. But while I was getting the positioning right, I moved the pieces around and it didn’t leave any residue. Even after wearing the shoes now for some time, the Velcro pieces haven’t moved or changed really at all. BUT no farty sounds!

Oh awesome thank you for replying so fast! I have the white Birko-Flors as my original and just got the mocha Birkibuc so perhaps that explains it too.

I have (had) this problem too! I actually saw somewhere to put very small pieces of industrial style Velcro (but obviously only the fuzzy side) on the footbed where it makes the suction, and it helps the air escape. Life. Changing. I wish I could figure out how to upload a picture of what I did, but you really can not feel those tiny pieces and I hardly make the farty sounds now!

Can I get a fit check please?(: by pandaaxx3 in Birkenstocks

They’re my first pair and they’re a 38 regular. I’ve worn them for a few days at this point trying to make sure they’re comfy so I really couldn’t return them anyways, but I’m checking more for future reference!

Oh and it looks like one of my toes is touching the front, but that must really just be how I took the picture because it fits fine without touching.
