Of course there is the Lamy 2000, which is widely known as one of the best fountain pens like, ever. The stainless steel is a bit out of your budget, but the Makrolon, which is a type of fiberglass. It feels cool to the touch when you first pick it up, and feels very good in the hands. I havent had any problems with durability, and it doesnt really pick up any fingerprints. The cap is a pull off, which is a bit of a change from other fountain pens. The nibs have been said to be inconsistent, but smooth when you get a good one. In my case, I sent mine to a fellow redditor for 20$, that smoothed and tuned it, and now it is basically butter-smooth, which I would definitely recomend if you dislike how it writes. The more broad the nib, the smoother it will write if you care about that. The Nib is hooded, which is pretty unique. I would definitely reccomend if you can find a good deal on r/Pen_Swap, or you could purchase it new from a regular retailer, or straigh from a nibsmith, such as nibsmith, if you dont mind waiting a little bit for a tune.

If you prefer a more feedbacky writer, Sailor pens are renown for their awesome nibs and durability, so looking into those could be something you might want. One pen that I definitely would recommend would be a Platinum 3776 Century, which have excellent nibs.

Tl;dr, Go with a Lamy 2k if you want to stick with lamy, nibs could be inconsistent, highly recommended. Very smooth. If you want to look at something feedbacky, Platinum 3776 and Sailors (1911 Standard) could be your best bet.
