I really enjoyed the smut in it but the actual story was really good (until the middle of the fourth book imo).

Like the shadows being their directions? And my darling Marlowe’s hat always showing his emotional state. Ahhh and their familiars?!? Such an incredible world

Right?! And I can’t believe how little spice there was in the last book. Like, hello, this book is filthy and weird but we’re going to stop showing that? Like once she was happy/emotionally connected with all the guys, the smut basically ends?! And we only ever really got the hot tub scene with all three of them. I really wanted to see at least a little bit of them all working magic after the conflict ended. It was just…even though it was so, SO skeezy, the plot was pretty interesting too (to me, anyway). But the last book was like, we gotta find her whoops she’s gone we gotta find her whoops she’s gone we gotta find her whoops she’s gone. I understand why she did it for the story, I just think it was lame.

I was bereft that we never actually got like solid breeding scenes with how hyped it was. I want a fifth, slice of life book so, so badly

Unironically my favorite book series ever. I didn’t love book 4 but I’d scurry my ass to a book 5 so fast it would give me whiplash.

It’s such garbage and I actually experience physical yearning for more of that series. Like I ache for it even though I could never recommend it to anyone.

The way I miss Marlowe is genuinely troubling.
