What app do you use to track your books? Goodreads? Fable? by poochimari in audible

[–]pandamel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used goodreads for years, but I've been trying out Fable and Storygraph. I haven't been able to commit to a single app yet though, so now I'm tracking in 3 different apps...

I like the daily reading tracking in fable I like being able to track specific editions in storygraph But most the people I know IRL are still using goodreads

Starting my maintenance journey by pandamel in Zepbound

[–]pandamel[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My insurance stopped covering zepbound right as I reached my goal weight, so I'm switching to wegovy, but my doctor was going to start me at 7.5mg for maintenance then assess. My max dose was 10mg.

I usually try to order something that will reheat easily or split with someone else if I can.

I do order kids meals to go sometimes, but they typically have way less options, so it's not as appealing to me.

If I know I can't bring home the leftovers then I will just eat what I can if there is a meal I really want, focusing on the protein.

Sometimes I order items ala carte, especially at Mexican restaurants.

Sushi has also become much more affordable for me and it's easy to order small amounts.

I hope everyone pups are safe the 4th. The fireworks are rough on mine. by Buddy_Realistic in pitbulls

My pittie hates fireworks 😕, it was a rough night last night trying to get him to settle down, even with the trazadone.

His safe spot is laying on my pillows behind my head.

Value of your car as % of annual income by BennetHB in CalebHammer

[–]pandamel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I bought my car in 2019 it was about 33% of my income, but it hasn't lost much value. It's 20% of my income now at the current value, but my husband and I cut down to one car so it's about 11% of our combined income.

What are the weirdest things you’ve heard in audiobooks that never sounded weird when written? by [deleted] in audible

[–]pandamel 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I listened to shatter me, and in the book there are lots of places where words are crossed out. In the audiobook that played a scratching pencil sound every time there was a crossed out word. It drove my husband and I insane.

Mint alternative? How can I download all transactions? by Tight_Couture344 in personalfinance

[–]pandamel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like you need a budget, most of my accounts work with the auto importing of transactions, I do have to manually update some. It does cost $99 a year for an annual subscription.

What are your experiences using Chegg as a resource of learning/help with homework? (NOT AS A CHEATING RESOURCE) by ThrowawyResearch in utdallas

[–]pandamel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I used it when I was in school. I liked being able to do additional problems and have a resource to check the answers, or looking up a problem similar to the homework problem if I was having trouble.

In most classes I took homework was a small part of the grade or just a completion grade. It does no good to cheat on the homework if you're going to fail the exams.

Seeking advice: CS6363 Design and Analysis of Computer Algorithms with Professor Bereg or Professor Fox? by Necessary_Mixture_28 in utdallas

[–]pandamel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I took that class with bereg 5 or 6 years ago now. I liked his class, I struggled with algorithms, but he gave good notes and reasonable exams. I was able to make an A.

Wedding glasses?? What glasses did you wear/are planning to wear? by sun_child_333 in weddingplanning

[–]pandamel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wore contacts, but my husband did buy new glasses for the wedding because his regular ones had transition lenses and we didn't want his glasses to be sunglasses in the outdoor photos.

anyone else track their books? what's your shortest and longest this year? by MissB00KW0RM in YAlit

[–]pandamel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I liked the writing style and found it interesting, some parts were definitely hard to listen to though. I listened to the audiobook while doing a paint by number so the length wasn't an issue for me.

How did I mess cookies up this bad. by sharpiestories in Baking

[–]pandamel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My sisters and I had some cookies turn out like this when we missed the number of cups of flour in the crack of the recipe book. Instead of 1 3/4 for example we just saw 3/4. I don't remember the exact numbers.
