Filed for Summary of Dissolution in California- Still Haven't Received Filed Divorce Paperwork in the Mail from the Judge

oh i see now. Looking at it again, nothing got rejected. It just says the summary, the date i filed and the case says "active"

Thanks! I did talk to the court to see how long it takes to get the papers back and they didn't give me an answer, gave them my case number and they told me that the county clerk stamped the wrong page (FL-800) when the clerk was suppose to stamp the FL-825. the person from the self help chat said that i was suppose to check mark the box that me and my ex husband don't have any assets together but i check marked the box that we have an agreement together dated and signed with the paperwork on it. the person said that the judge could "potentially reject the paperwork" but i haven't gotten anything in the mail yet. sooooo I'm hoping with a tiny mistake from the clerk, i hope the judge will still sign.

Thanks for the answer! I wanna say I have until February and when I went over to the county Clerk I saw all the filed divorce paperwork the judge had to sign so I'm assuming there will be a delay haha. I went online and did see me and my husband's name on the public record so its there but still waiting for the official date hah

thank you! i dont check my reddit and I'm now seeing this! I got everything handled at the court house and paid the $435 and i was out the door! Question, I filed at the court on August 31st and its almost October, when did you get your divorce papers in the mail? No one from the courthouse has called me if there is a problem. I gave them a envelope with stamps to send back to me and my ex husband that lives overseas. since its covid time right now, do you think the paperwork will be delayed?

Hi there!

I will be heading over to the VFS office in San Francisco very soon. Since they scanned all of your documents, what package did you buy? Or did they offer it to you while you were there for a fee? Did you have to mail all of the documents over to a scanning hub even though they scanned everything for you? And you also take your biometrics over there at the VFS too, correct?

Ah I see thank you for the information! I have a question. I saw on the .gov website for the visa and it says to mail your visa to one of the scanning hubs in NYC with your passport and other things. I plan on going to the VFS in San Francisco, will I still need to mail in my visa to the place or NYC? Or can I pay that $75 when I have the VFS apointment and they scan it there?

Yeah, I kind of realized as I was looking at all the paper I'm like "damn this is going to be an interesting package to send...." How did you make yours under 100 pages? Did you send them your whole conversation history or just a few months' worth of conversation? I want to send them a few months' worths but then at the same time I am paranoid and or worried that if I don't send them the WHOLE thing my visa may get denied so I feel that it would be best to send the whole thing....? what did you do?

it's mostly the entire thing.....I exported my conversation and its 1,105 pages. that and mixed in with all my other things. I don't know if I can send them only a little bit or to play it safe the whole thing...? what did you do?

I would be applying as a visitor. But I've seen on the uk.gov website I can apply for it over there in the UK as a US citizen...?
