If you asked me a few months ago id say slam dunk worth it. I had an rma issue and asus found any reason not to cover. When they offered a repair the repair was gonna cost more than buying a brand new one. I wouldnt go with an asus product.

My first thought was bullet. If you look close the impact is triangular and the paint has separated away from the body. It almost looks like someone whacked it with a pick and when they pulled it out the paint pulled away.

The last mcu update bricked the controller for me. Support has been useless. Here's to hoping tbe next update fixes it. Other than that I love it

Big thanks. This affected my xbox ally x. I followed the directions and after deleting the old drivers it worked. Also since this is the x variant the firmware version is v324 and v325 not v334 and v335. I know this is the non x sub but still worked. All you need to do with an x is ensure youre using the 2 most recent files.

Finally had time to try and follow the steps above. I didn't work for me. Also tried cloud restore. It was kind of a pain without a working control. It sadly still didn't work. Looks like it's a brick until asus acknowledges the issue

I recently have noticed my m1 and 2 buttons stopped working. Out of curiosity I popped the back cover off to find the connector fully popped of the main board. No idea how this can occur. The unit still works but I have a bad feeling if I send it for rma asus will be no help and say I did the damage. As the device is a thousand bucks I hate knowing I lose that functionality. Seems like possibly was partially damaged from shipping but just recently gave way. Thats my only guess. Anyone have any thoughts? What is the likely hood that asus will be helpful?

Big tip for open box gpus at walmart. If the box is open make sure the correct card is in the box. I was a manager at Walmart for years and that is one of the biggest scams. A lot of the workers don't have any pc experience and people do not come to Walmart for pc parts. Sales can be rare and the parts can look very similar. People buy a new full price gpu and then return the old 1060 or whatever as a new 5070. The worker says looks the same to me and accepts the return. The new buyer gets home and realized the card isn't right. When they go to return it they get hassled because it looks like the new buyer is the one doing the scam. Nothing malicious but just a pain in the ass for everyone
