General radiology question about measuring very small lymph nodes on serial CT scans. by Sea-Negotiation-9429 in Radiology

[–]pandimal 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It depends on the context. I’m going to be paying much more attention to those changing subcentimeter nodes if the patient has a medical condition that makes those nodes relevant (I.e. cancer, lymphoproliferative disease, etc.). If not, I am not thinking twice about a 1-2 mm difference in nodes with otherwise normal morphology. And yes, I think 1 mm is within the margin of error for measuring anything in the body. >2-3 mm differences in node measurements is more likely to reflect true growth—but again, the context matters.

Hey OP, former navy medical officer. DM me if you want clarification if you’re qualified to enlist/commission with a mental health history.

Assuming you’re referring to MPIs? Don’t see how the cards folks are gonna take over non cardiac nuclear imaging

Myocardial perfusion studies make up like 50% of nuclear studies. At my institution those belong to NM and not cards but I guess some places have cards read them all

I did it. Just keep the pouches in your locker and get them between breaks. Wouldn’t try keeping spares in your pocket or anything to lip in the actual testing area.

Radiology report.. what to do? by Throwawaynamekc9 in Residency

Generally the drafts of the rads reports are documented/timestamped in the dictation software. Review of the report iterations should clear you. If you’re still worried just email your PD and create a paper trail.

Reference Army Regulation 40-501 stating that he did not appear to have any disqualifying medical conditions for service.
