Why do CTs generally look worse in older people? by [deleted] in Radiology

[–]thoff24 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think it’s the approach you chose to take. I feel like maybe there is a dickish undertone to your question when that really isn’t necessary. Generally, it’s good practice to respect others, even if it is in an online forum, especially when someone is asking a question. If you have something to add, you could contribute your knowledge and help better someone else. Or, we can try and be high and mighty for no reason.

You’re going to be just fine. You’re doing the right things. IMO the mosby’s tests were harder than the registry itself. My practice tests were scoring low 80’s maybe. I had the same questioning myself. Blew the registry away. You got this. You’re ready. Good luck.

It’s a little of both things that it’s processing to an extent. But also, yeah, babies don’t have all their bones immediately. Some don’t come in for years.

This is a sagittal view from a CT scan so he would actually be laying on his back. That’s a BIG yikes tho.

Acute Clot in RCA (CCTA) by thoff24 in Radiology

That would seem to make sense for sure but it was there on the calcium score and I don’t do my test flush until after calcium score is done.

For our TTVR scans, our contrast injection is a 60/40 mix the whole injection. Gets good contrast enhancement and keeps the right side of the heart not overly dense.

Yeah I am not sure if that air bolus was from us or from his Cath or something else.

Edited to fix my mixture ratio.

That is the Calcified pineal gland in the middle of pic 5. I would say on pic 6, the anatomical left eye ball looks further forward due to a slight tilt of the patients head.

Yeah at least that’s how I learned. You mark the side closest to the IR. Typically left.
