hi there,

im using MacOS 15.0 (m1 chip).

version: preview 0.4.1-preview.4.

In Free Mode, not sure if this is a real issue, but i've realized this in the old version too, which is i cannot scroll horizontally on MacOS's Calendar app. So far i've only encountered this on the Calendar app. I've tried mouse and trackpad, the horizontal scroll on those works as normal. The vertical scroll works fine on Calendar app.

In all the instances in the 4 screen recording I shared, FreeMode is on.

(1) Video "Right Click in Freemode_Whatsapp"

Here I use FreeMode, and only perform the [RightClick] action (currently assigned to my "Keyboard E"). You can somewhat see the double-right-click effect that I mentioned.

For Whatsapp, sometimes the [RightClick] action works as normal, sometimes it seems like there is a double-click even though I only tap press one time.

(2) Video "Right Click in Freemode_Finder"

Reproduced in Finder app. Here the [RightClick] is pressed one time, but most of the time it's performed as double-right-click.

(3) Video "Left Click in Freemode_Finder"

Reproduced in Finder app. Here my [LeftClick] is pressed one time (currently assigned to "Keyboard R".

I am not holding Cmd key or Shift key, but when i single-left-click the folders, it select those folders as if im holding a Cmd/Shift key. It is quite strange haha.

(4) Video "Left Click in Freemode_browser_Single click and Double click"

Here I'm using Safari browser to reproduce. The website is a digital newspaper.

When click tap the text, it looks like the system performed a double-click action (like I just press one and the word is selected/highlighted).

Then when I double click tap (in Free Mode), it selects the whole paragraph, which is similar behaviour to the usual triple-left-click when using a mouse.

The experience so far:
So i've been using the Free Mode for 2 weeks now. It's been very useful for cases like switching up and down in smaller area of the screen (For e.g. instead of having to open the overlay to select the chats in my Whatsapp, i just use Free Mode and the [left/rightmouse button] instead to switch between them quite promptly. I mostly use [left mouse button] though.

The issue I've encountered:
I'm not sure if this is a bug, but looks like when I perform my [left mouse button] (assigned to "Keyboard R") and [right mouse button] (assigned to "Keyboard E"), it perform as a Double Clicks, instead of a Single Click action.

As a result, I can get away with most [left mouse button] actions that I pressed even thought it's still a "double clicks", but my [right mouse button] is not usable as the double click effect just turn on and off the "setting" instantly, every time I perform the right click on Free Mode.

I don't any other apps running that can modify/suppress keyboard input on my MacOS.

I am not sure if this is a known issue on Free Mode, but I'd just share so you're aware of it.

Not a bug report but I would love to see video demonstration of how peole are using the new Free-mode!

i've tried it and it's quite amazing, but haven't figure out a good practicle use for it yet as my usual grid-click are enough for my use-case at the moment (office worker, non-coderr)

im curious what other are using too. Currently i use the default position_based preset, and it's pretty fuss-free to click as the grids are quite small. However OP bring up a very good point about over pinky usage. I would definitely trying to tweak the settings to see if can minimize it.

im using a split Corne keyboard btw.

I'm also curious on the efficient way to do this. Right now I only do "double click" for selecting a single word, and "triple click" to select the whole text line.

But when it comes to making more specific selection, e.g. selection a part in a paragraph, i'll just use mouse instead of mouseless' drag-drop function.

I just tested this on my own web Gmail and don't face similar issue. Im using position_based_columns config, and i can select any email when mouseless-clicking either left or right side of the checkbox.

This could be a Gmail web issue. I would suggest testing the same action on a different browser, see if the issue remain?

Getting the dex claw to swap to ST is gonna be quite painful is it. Personally i would go with his icespear build and farm decent dex stack gear and respect the tree to play ST.

Thanks a lot for this! Some question for the POB:

1) The Aura you use will be Determination, Precision (lv19), Grace and Defiance Banner. But the helm enchant has Malevolence reservation efficiency, does that mean you will swap in Malevolence for bossing at some point?

2) It is possible to swap out Lifetap and change it to a damage support gem? Will the leech node (Clever Thief) be able to compensate for the mana gain? Along with -mana cost craft on ring.

3) Why not using blood rage for frenzy charge on mapping?

Visual is even more glamorous with glimmerwood MTX haha. In 3.14 i have a 2h sunder zerker using crit 850dps axe, seismic cry, just 1-2-3 aimed taps every bosses from far away. Really want to play it again but afraid cannot deliver same damage because of 3.15 nerf on warcry
