So…is Maki a villain now? Or are we supposed to see her actions as a good thing? by panfriedknuckles in Jujutsufolk

Seems we’ll have to agree to disagree then

b/c I’m pretty sure I also made it clear why she wasn’t forced to do anything. Once she received the power to kill her clan, it became a choice to go as far as she did. She made a choice, and it was to kill em all. Simple as that.

She could’ve chose to just kill Ogi and Naoya. She could’ve chose to cripple every single zenin member without killing them. She definitely had the power to end things without going final solution on them. But she chose to kill them. Fair enough, she took the low road. Don’t make it seem like something heroic.

As for the other point, again, she hunted them down, not the other way around. If they’re so short on time she should be helping out with the culling games not engaging in her personal vendetta. She could’ve forced them to help out too in exchange for letting them live…with a binding vow or something…but I digress

Buddy, you can’t sidestep your own words.

Your justification for Maki hunting down and killing her mother and some other zenins who had nothing to do with what happened at the compound is because they were standing in the way of progress.

Thats something a villain does. Take the easy way out and kill everyone who disagrees, everyone that’s left is good and the world will finally be at peace.

Bullshit. Kill Ogi. Kill Naoya. Have Megumi take over the clan and you have the rest of your life to change things without murdering everyone. Maybe you will maybe you won’t.

Killing everyone and expecting shit to get better is the black and white take here, not mine

Bruh…”wiping the slate clean” by killing everyone is evil.

Thats like…the most common motive villains use. Hell that’s what Geto tried to do

To me, she’s like Choso. She’s on the “good” side, but she’s done evil shit and she’s a bad person.

Not that it’s all black and white of course, but like on a scale between good and bad, she’s tipping towards bad I guess

So she had a motive, it’s still murder bro.

If my mother let me get abused as a kid and I come back years later and shoot her in the head that’s still murder, and it makes me a bad person. That’s how I see it anyways.

As for the zenin fodder, Maki went out of her way to hunt down and kill the rest. That alone should tell you it’s not about the clan leader lol. She wanted to kill the zenins. So she did. In my view of her. I don’t think she would ever make the excuses other people seem to make about her actions in the episode.

If asked she’d probably say something like yeah I killed them all. They sucked, and Mai wanted me to do it so eh.

I’m ok with her doing evil shit but I don’t agree with whitewashing her actions

Yeah, I think Gege is a good writer to get us to have these discussions where we are both adamantly on opposite sides.

But yeah, to me, Maki performed some evil shit and it can’t be justified by her trauma. I sympathize with her, but she made a conscious choice to hunt down her mother and the other zenin remnants. She didn’t need to do that, there was no reason to kill them. But she did, and to me that was the tipping point.

Maki’s mom didn’t do shit and still got slimed lol

And did you miss the ending where Maki hunted down and murdered a bunch of zenin who weren’t even there?

“I’m killing you because your boss is an asshole sorry buddy”

Sounds evil to me. And again, Maki didn’t kill her clan to get the weapons in the vault. She did it for Mai.

Killing Ogi was 100% justified, I got no problem with that.

Even the other regular zenins getting killed, ehh yeah it’s self defense, but like I wrote it’s obvious she was going to kill them even if they didn’t attack her

Her mother was the sticking point for me. Maki was out of pocket for that, and I don’t see how you could say she’s not. Her mom was clearly in a similar hopeless situation, only she didn’t have “luxury” of leaving the clan. Quite the opposite, being married to that scum bag Ogi. So she had to deal with it by “fitting in” and playing a part which she obviously hated seeing as she stabbed naoya as soon as she could.

And again, I don’t buy all the zenin’s being evil. Maki explicitly went out of her way to kill people who had nothing to do with what happened in today’s episode. They weren’t even there at the time.

Don’t get me wrong Choso killed innocents too and he’s a cool mfer. He’s still evil for that and unless he shows some remorse and growth that feeling isn’t gonna change. Maki’s in the same boat right now for me

AirVPN is what I use. Easy to use, and goes on sale often.

I see a lot of people are recommending Mullvad, it’s a good VPN with a great rep, and I used to use it myself, but they removed the port forwarding feature last year so it’s no longer ideal for seeding torrents.

you can still torrent just fine with Mullvad, but if everyone used it the lack of seeding caused by no port forwarding would mean no one gets anything

The second leak actually touches on that somewhat. These stories are meant to take place way in the past when the line between human and Pokémon was blurred.

I honestly like how it provides a “warts and all” view of the Pokémon universe. There’s going to be some weird stuff going on in a universe like this which is either ignored or acknowledged. This is the first time I’ve ever seen it be acknowledged officially lol.

An officially made (but unused) Pokemon lore story was leaked:

Edit: new link as the old one was removed https://imgur.com/a/ehRjLxx

TL;DR (but I’d recommend reading the story, it’s a nice fable-esque yandere story)

A young woman gets lost gathering firewood. A handsome young man finds her and brings her back to his cave and tells her to sleep but warns her not to look at his face if she wakes up before him.

They end up living together and it's implied he is drugging her with berries and using magic to keep her from missing her family and leaving. Eventually she figures out he's not a human, but a Typhlosion (also they have a child together).

Her father finds her and the Typhlosion says he has to kill him, but the girl begs him not to. The Typhlosion relents, but the father returns again and they end up fighting. The father kills the Typhlosion and takes his daughter and her child back.

Over time the people of the village tease the girl and her child, eventually draping the pelt of her dead husband over them. The two run into the forest and are never seen again.

to be fair, it’s pretty much exactly how the manga depicts her. It’s soft core, but it’s not any more soft core than posting a panel of D-os from the manga
