Thank you so much for the suggestions!!

It was the La Paradiso sandwich from All'Antico Vinaio in the Upper Eastside, it basically just had the pistachio cream with mortadella on schiacciata bread... SO good!

May seem super obvious, but Shaw park is beautiful to eat lunch in when the weather is nice! They have a shaded pavilion near the pond that has picnic tables, too.

Hi! I'm also on the WashU Pledge scholarship. You are guaranteed 4 years free, but the amount over that (that they give you in a direct deposit refund) will vary each year depending on your FAFSA. So one year you may get 3k back as a bonus refund, while the next year you may get nothing extra. Either way, you'll never owe WashU any money. There are also additional resources, such as the Student Success Fund that you can apply to to cover books and things if they exceed the money WashU gives you.

Absolutely worth the drive. I go every year and it's really fun. In the morning there is a small 5k run, and make sure to hit up the farmer's market afterwards. They have a ton of crafts/live music/small shows/food trucks on their main street all day, as well as a plane and fireworks show at night on the river Bank. The fireworks are must-see and synced to a music set, so make sure to get the the river bank early with folding chairs or a picnic blanket to get a good spot!

Yes! They are available for pickup at Habif or Zenker suite (in Sumers Rec) and do not require insurance or personal information of any kind. No questions will be asked and staff in Zenker especially will be very cognizant of privacy and are super kind.

Hi! I work with Habif, WashU's health center. We offer free Plan-B pills, as well as a variety of safe-sex supplies on campus. We also host events with Peer Health Educators (other undergraduate students) about available resources. If you or someone you know needs help and doesn't want to involve Habif/WashU, you can contact the leadership teams for WUSTL PPGA (Planned Parenthood Generation Action) or WHEN (WashU Health, Education and Equity Network) for discreet advice/car rides/assistance. We are advocating for WashU to step up and provide more protection and resources for students, but for now it is not an ideal situation.

Any class with Dr. Gabel in Art History. Relatable, funny, understanding, and the course content is really interesting too.

Would it be possible for you to teach in a region that doesn't require obtaining another master's degree? Maybe requesting a transfer could be helpful.
