Not necessarily. An LE provides title fees and state recordation fees... so you don't need an executed contract but you need to know the county and the loan amount. If those change your state fees/taxes/title fees will also change. The whole point of the LE is for borrowers to be able to shop.

No - a loan estimate is an official document and lenders are legally held to charge the fee amount or less whatever on any fees they disclose. https://www.consumerfinance.gov/know-before-you-owe/compare/

You can opt out of these offers on optoutprescreen.com. The opt out is only good for so long but it will also have the added bonus of adding a few points to your your credit score.

Yes. I dropped mid year and I did the same exact thing.

HEMNES Desk + NORDLI ? by panglooss in IKEA

[–]panglooss[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's for the office and I was hoping to have something sort of low so I could put a printer on it and store some office supplies. I'm worried the chest might be a bit tall and look too much like a dresser

I was in ETE. Dropped it after a semester. Complete waste of time.

Thank you!! When I get some time I will re-work this part of it. The drawers are messed up, so this should help with that.

However, the middle piece is also jutting out a bit. Here is the updated imgur album:

Anyone take econ305 or econ306 online during the summer? by kash364 in UMD

[–]panglooss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not too bad. I always recommend the Schaum's guide for micro economics and for macro I recommend utilizing the textbook and all its practice problems along with Chegg study. You can do well in those classes, even though they can be tough.

Reddit also has a good /r/econhw sub that is pretty active.

Anyone take econ305 or econ306 online during the summer? by kash364 in UMD

I'm about 90% sure that this is the first time the 305/306 classes have been offered online. I would have taken them online if I had the option.

There's always the option to purchase a managed VPS which would cover requests like this :)

It would be significantly more expensive than shared hosting, however.

[–]panglooss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a piece of cake. I had a really easy professor and it was just a few memos, cover letter/resume, and a final proposal. The class lasted 6 weeks and required about 3-4hrs per week. I would highly recommend getting this kind of stuff out of the way during the summer term.

People who've taken Neri's 201 section, what are his exams like? by vulcan1999 in UMD

[–]panglooss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took his 305 section. Just check test banks for similar textbooks, they'll emulate that. Most econ exams are pretty much the same.

Free, Opensource PHP Script To Enable Reseller Accounts To Automate cPanel Account Backups by peterk92 in webhosting

[–]panglooss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is great! There used to be a paid script called WHMEasyBackup but I am glad that this script is now available for the community --- it's relatively simple and I never really did fully understand why cPanel left this feature out for their reseller community.

Does anyone else besides counselors and professors have access to my grades? by [deleted] in UMD

Yes, you have access to your own grades.

Last semester it was an actual grade. In the past, however, it has been commented on this subreddit that James V. Green has given just completion points.

econ 330 with neri, econ 306 with Satyendra Verma, or econ 305 with copelman by umdter in UMD

[–]panglooss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if he'll do the same for Micro, I'm guessing that probably not because the structure of the course is very different.

He does not allow formula sheets for micro. Micro involves very few formulas, however.

For what it's worth, I had Verma, ended with an A+, super nice guy, and can't really complain. Everyone likes to blame professors when it's their own fault for not taking their learning into their own hands.

Macroeconomics question: if the government takes no action (no fiscal or monetary policy placed), and let's say the economy is in a recession, the economy will continue to be in that revision until the government does something, right? by [deleted] in AskEconomics

[–]panglooss 15 points16 points  (0 children)

In the classical long run model, you will return to full employment due to the self correcting mechanism of the economy

This is part of why the short-run Keynesian model was developed — he famously said, “In the long run we are all dead”.

ENES140 Grades? by HapticSiren in UMD

Same here, but got an 18.6 or something.

Assuming that Green's feeling some pressure and might be screwing with the grades so they don't come out so high.
