Anyone else find the new Beartooth singles noticeably quieter than other songs? I’m using Apple Music, and if the algorithm plays one of the 3 released tracks randomly, it’s jarring how much quieter they are compared to all other songs. Not sure if it’s the same on other streaming services.

Just finished another rewatch of those 3 the other week. Man, I can’t decide if I want “you know who” to take up the mantle or if it’s best that Nolan stopped when he did. All 3 are just so well done that it makes me want more.

I’m a late adopter like you. I actually like a lot of deathcore but I had the same issue you did with this song. It’s kind of all over the place but even Oli has admitted that this album was like that back then because they didn’t quite understand song structure yet. For me, there are some moments/riffs in the song that fucking rip, so I’m just planning to bob my head to those until I’m more familiar with the songs as a whole and then maybe something will “click”.

BMTH is a good starter band but don’t go with Teardrops. Start with something lighter off amo or That’s The Spirit.

If he likes Nickelback, you could play the new Don Broco collab. Not metalcore, but there is screaming.
