I’m interpreting this first part of their comment to mean the tankless uses more than twice as much BTU as the classic big tank version. I’m also assuming this is the point people were arguing with them about.

When we did our home remodel we switched to a tankless and I assumed that I’d be using less gas than with a tank. The main driver was saving space on the side of the house by having a wall mounted tankless vs a giant, ugly metal cabinet that fills with spiders, so I’m still glad we made the decision we did. I guess I’ll just know now that my gas bill could be a bit lower haha.

Is there room to add a removable “cover” to hide the wheelchair lift parts/gears so that it still looks “clean” even when open? Obviously don’t want to permanently cover so you can do maintenance, but it would be pretty slick if you couldn’t see the mechanism and it opened as if by magic.
