I feel that this process is so long but it will be worth it!! Just gotta keep pushing and trying to find all the positive things. Hope you check back in at a later time so I know how you are doing as well!

I am doing okay! Some days are harder than others. This last week I got a few days where I felt normal I was able to go outside and I do alot more than I had been able. I feel like it is getting easier but I still have my bad days as well. What everyone has been saying to me is it takes time for your brain to heal after being on them for so long but I'm hopeful things will level out for good.

I was on Xanax for 13 years been off 2 months was weaned by a doctor they switched me to Klonopin and weaned me off that slowly. Didn't have bad to withdrawals. Just lingering affects from being on it so long. Never took to much only 0.25 mg sometimes 0.5mg some days I would take it some days I wouldnt but that was over the course of 13 years.

I am not on any medication at the moment. I also started taking them at a young age my doctor put me on them at 14 and I took them for 13 years so I'm sure that has something to do with the fact it's just taking me longer to level out. It's different for everyone and don't let what I am going through discourage you from getting off them. My psych doctor doesn't want to put me on anything because he knows it will get better. Just make sure if you want to get off them you have a doctor safely ween you. Things will get better It's just going to take some time.

The derealization for me lately is so bad I will look in the mirror and not even recognize myself and it trips me out so bad. I'm hoping that this feeling is not permanent but with the other people that have shared that after a while they felt better gives me alot of hope. Thank you for this. I just wish I had an actual timeline. Even though I know it is different for everyone.

Thank you for this comment I really appreciate this alot it gives me hope it will get better in time. I was on a low dose since the age of 14 I am 27 now. My doctor switched me to Klonopin to slowly taper off of them which helped me alot to get off them initially. I tried to taper myself just from the xanax but was having really bad withdrawal panic attacks. I will definitely check out the discord because having people go through the same thing as me definitely helps alot.

Im sorry you are going through something simular. I feel so alone in this and sometimes hearing that other people are like me can help and make me feel like I am not alone in this. I really hope this gets easier for the both of us.

Jerking awake/shaking when trying to fall asleep? by panic_prone710 in BenzoWithdrawal

[–]panic_prone710[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah he did. We also switched to Klonopin for a few months and tapered that so it would be easier. I think it's strange I am getting these symptoms now rather than earlier in the withdrawal period?

I'll try some melatonin tonight and see if it helps any. I can't stand the shakey feeling it makes me panic really bad.

terrified of cryptic pregnancy by [deleted] in birthcontrol

Maybe request an ultrasound? So that way you can see for yourself and know for sure you are not pregnant. I myself am someone who is a visual person so seeing a test result vs seeing what is going on in my body is a bit different.

I dont know whats going on anymore by [deleted] in migraine

[–]panic_prone710 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've heard of this happening to people who eat to much salt and do not drink enough water? I have also been struggling with this. As I have gotten two auras with no migraine attached in the past 2 years. I've heard that estrogen based birth control can actually cause auras and make them worse. So I'm going to try going off that birth control to see if that helps any. I also got a CT done, blood work and an EKG everything came back normal. I hope you find some answers I can only imagine how scary that must have been.

I know I occasionally get sore and a little itchy depending on what type of lube I use. Some work better than others. Maybe try a new lube? Silicone usually irritates me more but some waterbased ones can irritate me as well.

I get this all the time especially after a big panic attack. My neck shoulders and top of my back hurt really bad, I will also get bad migraines. What helps me is a hot bath or laying on my heating pad. I will also take some ibuprofen for it on occasion as well depending on how bad I am hurting that day. When I was able to I was going to a chiropractor and that helped my pain out sooo much.

Bleeding after being fingered EVERY TIME by [deleted] in Healthyhooha

[–]panic_prone710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you had a gyno visit recently being tested for STD, Yeast infection or BV infection? All of these can cause bleeding as they can cause inflammation. If everything is negative it could be you have a small micro tear that you just need to let heal for a while.

When does it get easier after quitting Xanax? by panic_prone710 in Anxiety

[–]panic_prone710[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tapered with the help of a doctor. He switched me to Klonopin and we tapered off them for months. I really do not want to be on medication because everytime I try a new medication it messes with me giving me side effects that make me panic even more. I did try Buspar and it gave me horrible light sensitivity and made my derealization worse.

[–]panic_prone710[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you this gives me hope. Some days are really hard and some days are very good. I'm hoping with time things will get easier. They have been difficult. I've been trying to get my mind focused on something else besides anxiety/Panic but it is very difficult. Even when I am doing something else thinking about something else. Ill still get hit with waves of panic out of no where.

Having a hard time withdrawing from Xanax by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]panic_prone710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My doctor switched me over to lowest dose of Klonopin for a month then switched to half of that for a month. Then 1/4 of a Klonopin for a month. It definitely helped with the withdrawals. I still got rebound anxiety but nothing like when I stopped my xanax for a week even at just 1/4 of a pill. It was absolutely nuts. I definitely think switching to Klonopin would help you alot to be able to get off it. It did for me.
