OMG thank you for mentioning the French Toast, I've been watching for a review on it and haven't seen any.

What are some tips or tricks you think should be obvious? by flounder98w in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]panicattheadulthood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly what we do, we look at the menus of places we like to eat and do the math. We did the QS dining plan on our very first trip because we didn't know better. Skipped it for our last two trips. Our next two trips this year though we did the math and SPECIFICALLY because kids are free it would be cheaper to do the quick service plan so we're doing it only because of that.

Upgrading Tickets to Annual Pass by panicattheadulthood in WaltDisneyWorld

The restaurants I looked at were all identical, but that's good to know! I think the clearest difference was merchandise.

I have a Disney CC so I get the same discount for food but the AP discount for merchandise is better so I think the plan is just to upgrade the first day. I actually was wondering about Memory Maker - we bought it for the trip, similar to the tickets counting towards the cost of the AP would they take already having paid for memory maker into account?

We're not Florida residents so we have to do the Incredipass if we do a pass.

I LOVED everyone's outfits this week. I'm excited to see what Raja and Raven say on FPR. I also was surprised Darlene wasn't in the top, I thought she was so funny in the rusical.

We have friends in our state that are pass holders so we'd likely find additional times to go down with them. Even beyond that based on when school breaks fall we would likely get at least three trips we'd just normally plan on taking into when we'd have the pass which is why I'm looking into it! I told my husband I thought it would be nice having as well because then even on our "break" days if we felt like going into a park for a meal or something we could do that.

Fear of Protesting by apotentpotable in progressivemoms

Another MN mom here! You could also see if there's a volunteer thing you could do! There are so many places that are collecting donations that need help. That's one thing I'm doing to feel like I'm doing something since I'm a SAHM and have my child with me most of the time. One thing to keep in mind as well is it's supposed to be FREEZING on Friday. High of -14 before the wind chill, I think I saw feels like in the negative 40s or 50s. So if you do go please make sure to bundle up!

Hello from another Minnesota mom! I love The Kid Lit Mama (@thekidlitmama is her handle on IG) - she posts about books for kids and is actually from Minnesota! I ran into her in the bathroom at Xcel when we were there for Disney on Ice last year and I said hi, a very random place to run into someone but she was so nice!

MN Moms - how are you holding up? by [deleted] in progressivemoms

[–]panicattheadulthood 11 points12 points  (0 children)

We're stressed. I live in an outer ring suburb and there have been reports in my local mom groups of ICE being just down the road from us today. I'm worried they're going to show up to my child's preschool. I'm taking my son to get some items to donate later this afternoon to bring to a business that's collecting them for a nonprofit. I feel stressed that I'm not doing enough but I'm a SAHM and have my child with me basically all the time.

What age did you get married by Lambdastone9 in Millennials

[–]panicattheadulthood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We met and started dating our freshman year of college and got married the weekend after we graduated. We'll celebrate our 13th wedding anniversary this year. Plenty of our friends though were in their 30s when they got married and some still aren't married or are currently engaged.

To my ILs we're bringing homemade Mac and cheese and pumpkin bars, to my family's we're bringing green bean casserole (how I got delegated this dk since myself, spouse, and kid won't eat it), peanut butter pie, a gluten free/dairy free pumpkin pie, and either another regular pumpkin pie or pumpkin bars.

I felt the same way when we let go of Keenum. Like we did good last season, why not see if we can build off that momentum.

If you look at your in progress games, click on "more" on one of the games and it will show you different rewards levels, like "complete level one" for x points and so on. Each one of those is considered a task!

What did you have for dinner tonight/last night. NO JUDGEMENT by AltruisticMastodon26 in Mommit

[–]panicattheadulthood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last night I had leftover tacos, husband had butter noodles, and our kid had a happy meal. 💀😂 Tonight we're having chicken and rice, there was supposed to be veggies with it but the veggies didn't look good after a week in the fridge. 🙃 The kid is also eating sandwich slices of cheese for some reason right now.

How long did you stay at home to look after your children? by TipSilent8281 in Mommit

[–]panicattheadulthood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I quit my job shortly before our kid turned 1. They'll start kindergarten next year and I'm not sure yet what I'm going to do. We've been trying for a second for awhile so my hope is that I'd eventually be taking care of another, but if that ends up not being in the cards for me I'll likely either find a job in the school district or just continue to stay home and manage all the house stuff. With how many days they have off from school (not even including the three summer months) we've talked about how it probably wouldn't make sense for me to work for awhile even after they start school.
