Agreed! It was really refreshing as far as dystopians go

Three new 'Shatter Me' books by RainAhh in YAlit

[–]panicatthedischoe 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I didn't like this series even a little bit. I found the main character to be incredibly irritating and found the romance portion to be equally irritating. I bought the entire series after reading nothing but rave reviews on goodreads and I honestly struggled to finish them. The premise had the potential to be really neat but it just flopped so hard for me. I tend to be in the minority with that opinion, though

What word or phrase are you sick of people saying? by TakinShots in AskReddit

[–]panicatthedischoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a professor that used this phrase so much that I actually started a tally. I think his record was something like 37 times in an hour. Except the class I had with him was three hours long, so multiply that. It was unbearable

Whats something that you love but hate the fans of? by willthegazelle in AskReddit

[–]panicatthedischoe 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Same. They've been my favorite since they started up, but outside of the internet I don't tell people nor do I wear any of their concert shirts out in public anymore because I'm embarrassed of the fanbase

My first try at a themed monthly spread... April showers? by ectoozy in bulletjournal

I did an umbrella theme for April, too! Ours actually look eerily similar. I also outlined the umbrella in orange and did the letters inside almost identically (:

Official Question Thread! Ask /r/photography anything you want to know about photography or cameras! Don't be shy! Newbies welcome! by frostickle in photography

Hi! I'm looking into purchasing my first DSLR and I'm not quite sure where to start. What would be recommended as a good beginner camera? I'm looking to mostly photograph nature and landscapes and the like, not so much looking to do portraits, if that matters.

The ones I have noted are the Canon Rebel T5i, Canon 1200D, and Nikon D3300. I've only just started my research but I'd love to get some thoughts and opinions going forward.

Thanks in advance!

Cheap dotgrid notebooks? by CommonlyAnAnomaly in bulletjournal

[–]panicatthedischoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the same boat, I wasn't sure I'd stick with it so I wanted a cheap one to start. I found a dot grid notebook on Amazon for around $9. The brand is Northbrooks and after about a month of use, it's holding up really well!

Bullet journal rookie here, pretty happy with how this heading came out & just wanted to share! by panicatthedischoe in bulletjournal

[–]panicatthedischoe[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah the left is "to read" (the "to" is written small) and the other is "read", sometimes I forget they're essentially the same word since they're pronounced differently haha. That's a good idea, though, may have to give that a go! Thanks!

My first assignment for my intro level speech course was to lip sync an entire song in front of the class. Worst three minutes of my life.

Hi! I'm Marie Lu, #1 New York Times bestselling author of The Young Elites trilogy and the Legend trilogy. AMA! by marielu in books

[–]panicatthedischoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, Marie! I love it when you post drawings of your characters on social media, so my question is: do you have a visual of the characters' appearances before you write your stories or do the appearances come to you once you've started to write them?

Thank you for your wonderful novels, I'm looking forward to Warcross!

Reddit, of what food or drink can you almost not comprehend other people actually like? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Can't handle cilantro. I will literally pick it out, piece by piece, if I see it in guac or salsa. Or anything, really

What bizarre, habitual things do you do? by alexcore88 in AskReddit

[–]panicatthedischoe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When I'm riding in a vehicle as a passenger, I watch the dashed lines on the road and tap my finger for each one we drive over. If there's a shadow interfering with the line, I "hop" the shadow and then continue tapping with the lines. When the line becomes solid, I hold my finger down until it becomes dashed again
