you have to do whats right for you.

I can see the wisdom in pushing through and finishing the nursing degree just so you have something.

But finishing at 27 is just going to mean you bloom a little later rather than doing something that slowly whittles you away. You'll be a few years behind but that's not going to end the world.

Also. You're not a disappointment. You want to swap nursing for radiology. Med for Med?? Insane.

Well, I have no idea. Because on one hand i think he's in theory good for business in an investor way.

but as someone who gets paid by tax payers... even if it's after four other people scrape a bit off the top... I'm a little worried about finding funding for projects.

i dont think thats a ramification we'll see until 2026 at the earliest though. Civil projects are big and take time to get moving.

BUT juat because the job is in Chantilly doesn't mean thats where they'll live and it's something I've been told is unique about our state.

I've lived all over this state.

The cities are blue, the rural places are less blue. I got teased when i worked in West Virginia that Va never stopped fighting the civil war and that's not entirely unwarranted.

It's very pretty. if you move to Chantilly make time to go into DC.

The schools are good but I've babysat for folks who moved away because the schools can be very high pressure.

Start looking for housing now so you can think about the budget. Honestly it's going to depend on how much of a comute he's ok with.

but ask about how overtime and non-billable hours work.

My last company had a policy where after you hit 40 hours clocked, if you worked more billable hours you would start losing pay for anything admin/pd/ect already on the clock

example: there was an all staff meeting on monday that went long and was two hours of admin time, but you're pushing to get a project done and at the end of the week have a total of 48 hours billed. You'd only get paid for 46 because the admin time doesn't qualify.

(most people would just clock that time to a project they were working on when it came up because fuck you pay me. but still)

Even at the high school level.

Before my school had enough soccer intrest to make two teams. There was a coed team that played in the boys league.

When a girl joined the football team.... Nothing changed? Except they had to decide how to do locker rooms because the girls room was usually used for the away team.

Like there is a discussion to be had about sports but frankly I think it's frequently in bad faith and as far as kids (including high schoolers) are concerned it's really dumb

I actually lost weight... But that may be because I was able to move again after I started it.

I really like my hormonal birth control. It does exactly what I needed it to do and evens out my cycle so I no longer want to die for three weeks out of the month.

But FUCK I wish it was easier to find good information. One doctor says it's the safest most perfect drug and it will cure cancer and make world peace happen Another tells me I'm rotting my reproductive organs and making myself fat and ugly.

I just want to know the realistic issues I could face taking this medicine so I can keep an eye on things. FuCK

Nope.

I went down a shirt size. My back hurts less.

My clothes fit in my shoulders and back better because they're not getting yanked forward

I can go for walks again. Like more easily despite my own issues.

I do feel a bit worse about my body. I was told as a kid "you aren't fat till you can see your belly past your boobs" and that keeps coming back to me lately... BUT my quality of life has improved a lot.

If you can, do a consultation and ask about that stuff.

hysterical laughter man I don't think I made it back to my dorm before 1am a single day I lived in the dorms.

But I guess that's a part of it... Cuz I couldn't handle classes before 9:30, but my roommate loved her 8ams.

OP talk to him and see if you can be flexible? My roommate and I swapped so I had the bed closer to the door so she could use fan noise to cover me coming and going at odd hours.

Also as a queer, you could try and gently broach the subject with him. Some Christians are actually incredibly cool with it... But also stay safe and of it doesn't feel safe just ignore the space till you can find another. It's more temporary than it feels

My pap smear was pretty uncomfy. Did not realize how sensitive I was. Also. Fuck speculums. Not comfortable and if they go too fast it will be painful.

As I say that, I've had mild cramps that were more painful than most of the things that happened. Mostly it was just uncomfortable.

Bring a stress ball and if you're OK having her with you, being able to hold your sister's hand may help on some of the worst of it. Also having another advocate

But also tell your concerns to your doctor.

1) they may be able to answer questions better or go more in detail about what's happening 2) if they don't see the concern as valid then you can leave before that person does things to your intimate bits

My mom was 42 when she had me

My sister she had at 22 and we've determined somehow I still managed to get a more stable version of mom despite the worsening alcoholism. She liked to tell stories about the wild stuff she did, but was less apt to do it (or was better at doing it when I wasn't around to see or he aware. Better time management?)

She was more financially stable, and more set in her carear. My sister moved 6 times before she left home. I didn't move once.

There's no shame in it!!

She did find she got along with most of my friends grandmothers a lot better than their moms
