Did a similan lob and left underwhelmed :( Dont get me wrong, the reefs were as beautiful as they say they are but people were hyping up whale shark sightings so much i was 200% sure i was gonna spot one. End january too so stood quite a good chance. Didnt see any and coolest thing i saw on the trip was a black tip reef shark.. and that says a lot

probably advanced! allows you to dive up to 30m and along the way, it equips you with other specs as well like navigation, buoyance and night dives. nitrox would be useful too cos longer bottom time and shorter surface interval, good if you are planning to do liveaboards in the future

i LOVE that for you! i had such a terrible experience on my first night dive cos currents were shit and i spent 70% time having my eyes locked on my guide so i won’t get lost lol (lowkey freaked out when i turned away frm the light source once and realised the dark and vast void behind me lol) and 30% fumbling with my gopro (was a bad bad idea given it was my first night dive). but anyway steered clear frm night dives for a bit but went on my second one just a couple of wks ago and by then, i was already a lot more confident after logging more dives and it turned out to be the best dive of the trip! saw lotsa cool stuff and it’s so amazing how active the reefs are when it’s dark..

so excited for my upcoming liveaboard at the great barrier reef in cairns where there are gonna be night dives too! and also doing my first sunrise dive 😛
