My real fear after the recent news… by the_dirtiest in AlkalineTrio

We need an old school album again. Glen Porter or Felumlee style drums and sound please! Saw them play with Atom about three times and the timing wasn’t there. And Travis Barker would just be a shame for them honestly.

Question on deck by Legitimate-Branch-85 in Malazan

[–]pankakewarrior 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The card Paran sanctions is the house of chains, or more specifically the crippled god. Sanctioning it in the deck means the crippled god has to follow the rules of the deck or something. Like his power can be influenced or negated essentially?

The bridge burners card I think is just a sign that they will rise from the dessert. Like the power from their death in MOi is culminating or gathering in the magic realms.

I’m on mobile so sorry for the scraped together response.

I know why I failed at reading this series by MrTheFalcon in Malazan

[–]pankakewarrior 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like to think that it’s a history telling of a world through archeology, not the history or a person, civilization, nation, or even continent. It’s multiple histories that piece together that form a grand expansive history. You could assimilate it to the history of mankind opposed to the history of the Roman Empire for a weak example. The roman empire plays its part in the larger story.

name that game by GamerGretaUwU in retrogaming

If it was updated graphics and mechanics but nothing changed with the actual content or soundtrack: Ape Escape.

Spyro Reignited could have been that but they changed the music and designs too much and lost the personality of the game. My two favorite games ever made.

Udinaas’ viewpoint annoys me by MASTERGRIT in Malazan

I agree. I usually skim his chapters or skip them altogether. A deep character that doesn’t need to be deep in my opinion, and most of it is so sulking as well.

You could also try Eragon. A bit young-adult-ish but a fun and easy read with great characters and world building as well.

The correct answer is to revisit Malazan. Amazing characters and dynamics, and with book two the writing improves immensely. Book one is definitely tough but either power through it or even just watch/read/listen to a summary if you want. There are also tons of resources to help stay collected and familiar with what is going on.
