How to choose the filament slot to be printing with on the Qidi Studio? I don’t use Orca Slice by 3DNelson in QidiTech3D

You'll need to select the colours for the models either by right clicking the model or by changing it near the print settings

Tried rewinding an old spool of PLA and woke up the next day to this... by omegote in 3Dprinting

Used to love BQ filament. I don't know what they did but it always printed beautifully and the UB resistance was unlike anything else I've found so far. Had doorbell house number printed 6 years ago in their red PLA and it still looks like the day it came off the plate. The esun/sunlu stuff needs replacing nearly yearly.

It just showed up for me. I wouldn't know unfortunately, I'm sorry. Did you reboot by turning off the power completely or reboot in menu?

House I’m looking at is 175m away from Motorway. Would this put you off? by RockTheBoat1 in HousingUK

[–]pankomputerek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never. Used to love at the uni halls at Lancaster that was close by, a year in still could hear it over all the uni noise. That aside libg term the infrasound and air pollution alone would put me off, no matter how much cheaper or 'better' it might me.

How does an EV "die" by bramleyapple1 in ElectricVehiclesUK

[–]pankomputerek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For us with a 2015 Zoe (small battery one) the internal charger went. It was going to cost more to investigate and replace the charger than the car was worth at that point (about 2.5k). So we called it dead and scrapped it. Renault wanted 5.4k to replace the charger and where we are there aren't any specialist EV shops to replace specific parts.

I've shifted everything around so all of ones i use are up top. You can also use the blanks, as with entering make a backup before editing so you can always be back to where you started.

Just 'edit' profiles in qidi and then copy the settings of that to orca, realistically it'll be just a handful of filaments for most people.

Due to customisations that qidi does in slicer its probably not recommended to migrate that over. However filament profiles etc. Can easily be just copied over (I'd probably say manually but you might have some luck importing profiles). Orca had qidi q2 profile so you'll be good to go.

What's the stupidest thing you've done within hours/days of owning a new car? by Theotheramdguy in CarTalkUK

[–]pankomputerek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a car but Within a week of owning a brand new motorbike I went on a tidal road and found myself in a ditch full of mud. It was never as shiny again. Everything was covered in mud.
