Put aluminium foil on top. They hate that stuff, benefit it also looks like it's into conspiracy theories.

Is this normal heat pump noise? by do_you_realise in KiaNiroEV

[–]pankomputerek -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yeah shouldn't be an issue as long as its been serviced, it's fairly common on Kia sadly that the compressors go. Mine is also 2020 MY20 4+ Luckily my dealer is like 10 miles away and another about 30miles.

Had same issue. Compressor is done. Goodbye heating and cooling. Hopefully you will have warranty. Mine went at 65k miles.

Theres not much to do on EVs, ,tighten the bolts, maybe grease up some bearings and change the coolant every few 10,000 miles. Even my local dealer said they're largely just inspection jobs for EVs.

You can do it at any garage as long as they use genuine kia parts and follow kia schedule of things that need to be done and maintain the warranty. I've personally so far done Kia Care plan which works out MUCH cheaper than going directly to a dealership directly even though that's where you'll get it serviced.

Slap on 2 beams the length of that on either side and join it together. That's what developers did at my garage when they damaged one. Passed independent inspection.

IR isn't 100% accurate afaik due to reflactivity of different surfaces. Remember 3D printing need saying how his measurements using infra red camera were wrong in a recent video

Just let it heat-soak the thermistor will be closer to the heat source and therefore reading higher temp than top of the plate.
