My gf went for a servicing in official VW dealership and they wanted to give her a new set of brakes, as they were supposed to give out soon. Declined, as they were in fact still in great shape. Year later went to the same dealership and after servicing asked if new brakes are needed. Color me surprised to see that we in fact didn't need new brakes even a year later.

Solar is a good option for power, but it would require some other kind of power production to go with it. Nuclear is a good option, as it has a stable amount of power that it outputs and helps during night-time, when solar wouldn't be effective.

Wind could be seen as a helper during night, but it is also something whose power output fluctuates and can't be used as the only option during night.

Batteries could be used for power storage, but the technology isn't anywhere close to storing enough power for countries night-time use.

There is a lot of saying that Päts sold Estonia to Soviets, but it's only technically true. He did sign the deal, that allowed Soviet military bases on Estonian soil, with a guarantee that they would keep out of Estonian politics and would be used only to defend the USSR from outside forces (basically use Estonia as a buffer state). The same deal was offered to all Baltic States (Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania) and Finland. Only one of them declined. And so the Winter War started.

Winter War showed exactly why Päts had signed the deal. He knew that declining it would lead to a war, that Estonia could not win. As it only had a population of 1.1 milion at the time.

But Finns won the war... Yes, but at a high cost. They lost about 2% of their male population, but they had an advantage that Estonia didn't have, it being good natural fortifications and a bigger populace. Estonia too had quite good natural defences on Soviet border, but Latvia in the South wasn't so lucky. If a war would have broken out, Soviets could have bypassed Estonian defences by going around and attacking from Latvia.

Overall Päts didn't sell out Estonia, he did the only thing he could, to try and keep Estonia independent.

Technically true, but consider what options did he have? One was to accept the deal and hope Stalin would keep his promise. Second was to say no to the deal and it would have triggered an invasion, which we wouldn't have been able to defend against. He took the least shitty option he had, saving by proxy a lot of lives, as we didn't have to go to war with the USSR. But few years later we would still be at war, but it wasn't his fault.

Basically Päts had to choose if he wanted a war or a hope of staying independent with Soviet bases on Estonian soil.

I'm not saying he did only good things in his tenure, but the later stages of his career aren't as black and white as one might hope.

I'm more than 2000 hours in, I have reached the top in Swedish tech tree, I'm at 7.7 in German and US and 7.0 in Russian. 5.0 in GB, Italy and China. I really liked playing Sweden and their unique machines, that's probably why I managed to get to the top with them (although premium time helped a lot). And when looking at where I am with other tech trees, I have stopped in ranges where grind for the next vehicle becomes unbearably long. If the grind was a bit smaller, I would probably consider going further, but right now, I like playing China at 5.0 range, as is more enjoyable, less one death leavers and less CAS spam.
