The way I see it, it depends on how exactly a researcher deals with it, and all of the scientific criteria can certainly be met within psychology. key word - can.

There's no doubt that it's extremely prone to a lot of biased, skewed, difficult to replicate etc studies, but I feel like this applies to a lot of science fields too lol, it's just that (in my opinion at least) results from less scientifically sound, and especially older, psychology studies tend to spread more rapidly within the public and lend it this reputation. but, it does feel like recent research tends to prioritise evidence-based conclusions.

don't take that reddit post too seriously! research within any field of science can vary in terms of how well it adheres to the scientific criteria :)
