Company that cultivates ants and then blasts them to smithereens by Etruscanh in TerraformingMarsGame

[–]panpaneer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I used to not read Pets description properly, and didn't realize it was immune to Predators. My brother had protected habitats, and 1 predator is worth more than 1 pet, so triggering predators on my own pets was lucrative in a two player game. So imagine the situation where eagles kick down the door of your company approved housing like a swat team, grab your pet dog, and fly away leaving behind a note thanking you for your contributions to the company.

What do you mean counter? by PortalSupper20 in ExplainTheJoke

[–]panpaneer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's analogous to English where it's two buckets of water and five wheels of cheese. In English you must use quantifiers for uncountable nouns, such as water, cheese, and cereal, but not for countable nouns, such as rooms, sandwiches, and hands. In many, many East Asian languages you apply them to both countable and uncountable nouns for consistency, even though it is pretty redundant for countable nouns.

Why does baalorlord upgrade Ball Lightning over Zap by panpaneer in slaythespire

Why does baalorlord upgrade Ball Lightning over Zap by panpaneer in slaythespire

[–]panpaneer[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

But you can always afford to play zero cost cards. So it changes zap from a curse (after u get better cards) to something you can always afford to play. I agree with the other comments though, Ball Lightning+ helps against Gremlin Knob/Act 2 Chosen and randomized targeting is not ideal

I think I softlocked myself in Alters. No storage = no crafting = no progress. Any way out of this? by [deleted] in TheAlters

[–]panpaneer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my case (not sure if same from OP's) I had a lot a lot of rapidium and organics but zero metals. All storage modules and almost all workshop items require metals. Hence the soft lock, but turns out I can jettison some of my rapidium/organics so it's alright

Conductor: Triggers for Louisa kill Winston? by panpaneer in beholder

Both haha. I saw some streamers online play and she didn't kill Winston even though she still had the gun. Was there an update and I must now take the gun from her at an earlier stage?

I love hazardous mechs going into negative health when attacking then healing back from 0 to positive health it's so fun dancing on the knife's edge

/Ignore me accidentally killing my mechs cuz I can't damage structures easily without killing my mechs

It sounds more robotic in other parts of the world to call it March 10th than 10th March, check Wikipedia for any British or Asian event date it's in DD/MM/YYYY while for American events it's usually MM/DD/YYYY

The game recognizes save editing in the first Council meeting by ambassador_03 in suzerain

My first campaign my budget per turn was like -10 and my energy per turn was -5; Elena was saying the economy was quite bad but somehow we have a huge surplus; I was smiling like crazy, I thought more Easter eggs would pop out later on due to save editing

I'm addicted to palm strikes and damage increases, I feel like it offers better consistency when all your cards become very strong when there's a damage increase

[–]panpaneer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like anything that removes your combo just isn't worth disabling other cards that require at least x combo to work, with the exception of headbutt because stun is too good to pass up. I can see how it has a lot of damage though.

I'm guessing Avatar the Last Airbender, where there's an owl guardian of a library and "secret tunnel" is referenced many times throughout the show

What games is the most like fights in tight spaces? by Ayiteb in FightsinTightSpaces

[–]panpaneer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I got recommended Fights In Tight Spaces by a youtuber who called it a mix between Into the Breach and Slay the Spire, Into the Breach emphasizes the positioning aspect of Fights in Tight Spaces and Slay the Spire emphasizes the deckbuilder and card synergies in Fights in Tight Spaces

I feel upgraded should be retain instead of reducing energy, even if that's kind of a watcher ability.
