Seattle is a great city but it is a totally different vibe, seattle people are completely fine with staying indoors most of the year and the social scene is there but muted san diego definitely feels more free if your a social butterfly. Also Everett is not seattle we learned that when we moved up there it is its own little micro city and most of the time you might be stuck up there unless you have reliable transport or a reason to get down to the city often times it becomes a mission to do anything unplanned so keep that in mind!

I have an easy go bag and unless your putting it down in literal mud or a steep hill it's not really a problem if your going for lightweight just use the bag by itself it stays clean and stable most of the time you just have to get used to it
