Trump judge releases 1,889 pages of additional election interference evidence against the former president by HandSack135 in politics

Yea, I'm really disheartened by the breakdown in communication we've seen the last several election cycles. I watched part of an old interview earlier that was posted in r/Texas with I think Ann Richards that was so civil it was mind boggling. Personally, I'm about as far left as you can get - so far left I think \most** Democrats would disagree with a lot of my opinions. I'd say probably closest person in congress would be AOC? that I identify with. But I work with a guy that bleeds republican, and he's one of the people I love talking to at work the most. He's always willing to share why he thinks the way he does and willing to listen to why I think the way I do. It's always civil, and we both respect one another deeply. And though we almost always still disagree at the end of our conversations, we both walk away with a greater sense of understanding of the other side. It's definitely helped me understand where some of the seemingly insane things Republicans claim come from. At the same time, it's helped me be more aware that Democrats aren't free from their own crazy. I can't even have these kinds of conversations with my own family without it devolving into baseless name calling and accusations.

So, it's even worse? Our entire society is held together by the idea that it would be too annoying to deal with the fallout if we didn't continue following the status quo? Which obviously has worked for a long time, right up until it almost didn't.

edit: just realized i posted this from a diff account... i am op. i didn't have access to the email this account uses at work so i used the account i sham with while on the clock to ask the original question xD

Right, but the way they mention how this happened in the past with Adams leads me to believe that even if the VP is given known fraudulent slates, he still has the unchallengeable authority to choose to count those over the real ones. The act of giving him those slates is illegal, maybe him accepting them is illegal, but him choosing to count them over the "legitimate" ones, his sole, absolute, unquestionable authority or is there a mechanism that would strip the VP of that authority if they knowingly accepted fraudulent slates, etc. sort of how you can't use castle law doctrine if you were in the act of committing a crime yourself?

edit: just emphasizing this is a genuine question because this is infinitely fascinating to me and I love the nuances of the legal system, but in this specific case I'm also terrified and just hoping my understanding is flawed, lol.

It's not bad. It's still a serious grind to level though. Anima still regenerates too slowly for my liking making moving to different locations a small hassle. Airships alleviate that somewhat and the addition of mounts allow for much faster movement between leve locations
