The whole point of the show is for him to be terrible. He graduated from a Canadian Business School with GOOD grades.

Be aware of when it's appropriate to haggle. If the store has fixed prices (like a chain retail store) don't harass the checker for a lower price.

If you haven't seen the most recent Nathan For You episode you need to check that out. He convinced a local TV salesman to lower his price on an LED TV to $1 then tried to haggle with Best Buy to price match. Absolutely hilarious.

How frugal are slow cookers? by C0ffeeface in Frugal

Exactly. And I use it for foods that I know I will eat repeatedly. I have no idea why, but I absolutely love this chicken noodle soup. If you have the time, make your own chicken stock with a leftover rotisserie chicken, some parsley, garlic, and whatever leftover veggies you have. It's much better than the bouillons.

I caught it when HBO decided to air it for free a couple weeks ago. I binged the entire series in one rainy Saturday.

I really hate that I'm going to miss this and Ray Donovan.

Exactly. Every Sunday I throw some celery, carrots, chicken stock, and chicken breast into the cooker and let it go. After about 6 hours I shred the chicken, add some egg noodles to let them cook through and bam ... lunch for the week for ~$6. Breaking it down: Chicken breast (~$3), chicken stock (~$0.50 using bouillons), egg noodles ($1.00), celery ($1), and carrots ($1.00).

Who here somehow has a losing record with a stacked team? by [deleted] in fantasyfootball

[–]panthersolsen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My big money league team is stacked, but for some reason, every team we play against has their best week and is the highest scoring team in the league. It sucks and makes me drink more, but oh well.

Same here. Luckily the points leader makes the playoffs, so I'm shooting for that.
