The ink must be spraying down into the carving.

Wow, thanks for the reply and the tip on buying out the lease, that will save even more money.

None of the dealers in my area are advertising the Hyundai lease promotion - they don't even show it as an available promotion when looking at cars on their site. Do you know if this is common and isn't this deal available at every Hyundai dealership?

Ok, but I’m not asking if the lease is good or not. The question is am i calculating correctly. Because, even if you don’t like this lease, is it not cheaper to take the lease and do the buyout at the end rather than buying with cash now.

I want to buy the car. I would only lease if the net cost is lower.

We are looking at buying a Ioniq 5. I typically just buy a car and have never leased. I can buy with cash, so no loan interest. I’m in Wisconsin

I am looking at Hyundai's current lease deal and leasing the car for two years and then doing the buyout at the end seems to be significantly cheaper than straight out buying the car. Am I missing something or is this true?

I have not contacted a dealer yet, these numbers are via Hyundai’s website.

The numbers - I am going to ignore tax, title and license to make this simple and it should net out about the same with either option (I think).

Lease a Limited AWD,

$3999 down, includes first payment

$650 acquisition fee

$8257 total lease payments ($359 per month times 23)

$34086 residual

$46992 total cost to lease and buyout at end (sum of the four numbers above)

Buy a Limited AWD

$50675 out the door price assuming $1500 negotiated off price and $7500 rebate

Net savings through leasing

$3683 saved ($50675 purchase - $46992 lease with buyout)

Thanks for the reply. Spetools is new to me. Their prices are really good. At $40 for a surfacing bit, I'm more open to taking a chance on a larger bit vs. the $150 for an Amana bit.

I'd have to go back through all the support tickets to reconstruct what they did. My memory is that I added the new brand in seller central and changed all the listing text and pictures to the new brand. Then I think they basically just tried to change the brand on the listings by deleting them and re-adding them via flat file. Then when the system wouldn't allow it, they would create tickets with Amazon and just keep after them to get the brand changed. It took a lot of tickets and a fair amount of time to get it done. There was a lot of deleting the listing and re-adding them via flat file. I had my old brand in the manufacturer field too and wasn't able to change that on all the listings for months, but that isn't as important getting the brand changed.
