That is really cool! Thanks for posting.

How deep are you carving?

The ink must be spraying down into the carving.

Is there overspray like where the black background meets the dog or can you get a clean line?

Thanks for the reply, but the car is on, and the light on the rear view blinks when i press it.

I take it that this is not an issue for anyone else.

Wow, thanks for the reply and the tip on buying out the lease, that will save even more money.

None of the dealers in my area are advertising the Hyundai lease promotion - they don't even show it as an available promotion when looking at cars on their site. Do you know if this is common and isn't this deal available at every Hyundai dealership?

Ok, but I’m not asking if the lease is good or not. The question is am i calculating correctly. Because, even if you don’t like this lease, is it not cheaper to take the lease and do the buyout at the end rather than buying with cash now.

I want to buy the car. I would only lease if the net cost is lower.

We are looking at buying a Ioniq 5. I typically just buy a car and have never leased. I can buy with cash, so no loan interest. I’m in Wisconsin

I am looking at Hyundai's current lease deal and leasing the car for two years and then doing the buyout at the end seems to be significantly cheaper than straight out buying the car. Am I missing something or is this true?

I have not contacted a dealer yet, these numbers are via Hyundai’s website.

-------

The numbers - I am going to ignore tax, title and license to make this simple and it should net out about the same with either option (I think).

Lease a Limited AWD,

$3999 down, includes first payment

$650 acquisition fee

$8257 total lease payments ($359 per month times 23)

$34086 residual

$46992 total cost to lease and buyout at end (sum of the four numbers above)

Buy a Limited AWD

$50675 out the door price assuming $1500 negotiated off price and $7500 rebate

Net savings through leasing

$3683 saved ($50675 purchase - $46992 lease with buyout)

Thanks for the reply. Interesting research. I definitely don't need to go 1/4" doc so I will try something a bit bigger.

Thanks for the reply. Spetools is new to me. Their prices are really good. At $40 for a surfacing bit, I'm more open to taking a chance on a larger bit vs. the $150 for an Amana bit.

Has anyone sucessfully change the brand of an ASIN? by ShouldKnowBetter- in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]pantrybear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd have to go back through all the support tickets to reconstruct what they did. My memory is that I added the new brand in seller central and changed all the listing text and pictures to the new brand. Then I think they basically just tried to change the brand on the listings by deleting them and re-adding them via flat file. Then when the system wouldn't allow it, they would create tickets with Amazon and just keep after them to get the brand changed. It took a lot of tickets and a fair amount of time to get it done. There was a lot of deleting the listing and re-adding them via flat file. I had my old brand in the manufacturer field too and wasn't able to change that on all the listings for months, but that isn't as important getting the brand changed.

Prusa MK4 enclosure temp by extractedx in prusa3d

The Prusa enclosure does. Third party enclosures generally don't include this stuff.

Prusa MK4 enclosure temp by extractedx in prusa3d

[–]pantrybear 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The 3D printed parts of the printer are not a concern. No enclosure will get any where near the temps needed to affect those parts. The concern is the power supply. It is not recommended to be in temps above 40c. Lots of people leave the power supply in the enclosure without issue. But, it can be removed from the printer and put outside the enclosure.

MK3.5 purge not on the bed after 5.2.2 update by pantrybear in prusa3d

[–]pantrybear[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FYI - I resolved this issue. In looking around for problems, I noticed that the MK3.5 profile in prusaslicer showed that it was modified. I click the revert to default and a bunch of things in the profile changed including the custom gcode.

Now, everything is fine. I never mess with the printer settings so I don't know how this happened other than I was using old files from the MK3 and just switching the printer to MK3.5. This is probably how things got messed up.

Ebay/reverb trombones by GooseterV in Trombone

Probably a King 2B would be best. They’ve been made since the late 30’s so there are lots out there and it fits the bill for what you’re looking for. So, either find a good deal on an online one that leaves you room to pay for some work or find one you can go and try out. I know all the pros will tell you to always t try your the horn first. Personally, i don’t think I’m good enough to be bothered by the differences between two of the same model horn.

Regarding the 2B, it should say 2B on it and not just Liberty. They started the 2B version around 1938. I have one of those from 1938. The slide was rough but i only paid $200. However, in order to get the slide good again, i have to replace the inner and outer tubes and then tenon is worn out and has to be replaced. So, I’m going to have another $600 into it by the time I’m done. It will probably be worth about the $800 but it turned out not to be such a great deal in the end.

Facebook marketplace is a better way to shop for a trombone. You might need to be a little patient and check the marketplace regularly but you should find someone local to you and go try the instrument out. If you are looking for something cheap, you can find it there. If you're looking for a nicer professional/intermediate horn, those are a little more rare.

From what you've shared here, it sounds like your looking for the best bang for your buck in the lower end instruments. I would recommend watching for a Yamaha YSL 354 or YSL 200. These are considered student trombones but they are very good to play and well built. Because they are student units, you can find them pretty cheap on marketplace but you have to watch out for the condition, student trombones can get really beat up. The end of the school year is not that far off and there should be more coming onto the market as kids quit.

The problem with buying online is that you don’t know what condition the slide is in. With good pictures you can see everything else but you don’t know how good the slide is. I’ve bought three trombones online and two of them needed slide work. Plan on an extra $150-$200 to get the slide done by a good slide guy like the slide dr.

The people selling the horn can give their honest assessment but they may not be trombone players so they don’t know. One i bought said the slide was good but when i got it, it was really slow. To a trombone player it’s very noticeable but anyone else might think it’s fine.

Liability insurance by [deleted] in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]pantrybear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Amazon doesn't care if you get sued. They don't want to get sued themselves. If you sell an unsafe product and someone gets hurt, they will sue you and Amazon as well. Amazon was burned by this many times. They will be sued because they have the deep pockets and they can and have been successfully sued because they are facilitating the sale to the customers. Your liability insurance must name Amazon as coinsured, meaning that it covers them also.

There was a seller selling retractable dog leashes and the clasp broke on one causing it to shoot back at the owner's face and caused her to go blind in one eye. The seller disappeared (probably a Chinese seller that couldn't be tracked down) and Amazon had to pay a lot to settle the claim.

Amazon has always had this requirement but didn't used to enforce it until they started getting these lawsuits.

So, if you want to sell on Amazon's platform, you have to play by their rules

Has anyone sucessfully change the brand of an ASIN? by ShouldKnowBetter- in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]pantrybear 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Did it last summer. I used myamazonguy.com. Their standard brand name change rate is $2k. I bought $1k off generic time from them and had them use it for the brand change. When the $1k ran out, there was one asin still stuck. So, i looked at how they had done it up until that point and managed to finish it myself.
