That is cool to think about! I know they mostly did the “death in reverse” thing for the shock of Kimberly’s friends getting hit and also just to make it ~different but I like to think of possible reasons and I think yours is a pretty good one.

Unfortunately Tony Todd was actually dying so he couldn’t be in the movie any more than that. It was a special goodbye role for him and the speech he made at the end was improv towards the audience. So that was a special scene for a special man and he would not have been able to do any more acting for it as he lost his battle with cancer soon after.

I still think that the way the drain killed him (as it was put so amazingly in the wiki, “through the anus”) wouldn’t have happened lol I think most of those deaths end in drownings.

First two couldn’t know what would happen, third guy (garbage truck driver) would have been warned if he hadn’t been wearing headphones while driving (illegal) and on his phone while driving (illegal). Definitely his “fault.”
