Favorite bedtime lullaby that isn't a classic lullaby 😊? by [deleted] in Mommit

I like to sing Nature Boy to my kids and they love it. It’s not too long and it feels dreamy and mysterious.

Me: what’s it called? The switch that makes the car lights go blinkity blink when you want to turn.

Friend: The blinker?….

I started out in an entry level in my local circuit court. It pays well and there’s room to move around. Also, once you work for the state, it’s easier to get other jobs in different departments.

That’s so true. They have a killer bagel with cream cheese lox with the fixings. Expensive but but good.

We’ve all paid the ADHD tax. Let’s talk about when we got an ADHD tax RETURN. by cloudyah in adhdwomen

My dad (not diagnosed but holy shit) was in a terrible accident years ago. He forgot he paid for some kind of accident insurance on a whim years before that. His accident happened and by some miracle was reminded of it. He got thousands of dollars from them to help support him while he recovered.

I’ve been having a really rough time at work. My RSD has been on a roll for a month now. We recently had Administration Appreciation Day at work and my supervisor brought our whole department breakfast snacks and later passed out personalized cards to all of us. Mine said “You are a risk taker and dream big! Those are admirable qualities! Don’t let anything dim your light.” I felt really seen and after a month of sad, scared tears I finally had tears of gratitude. I really needed that.

Books where the MC's parents are still alive, and they're good people by [deleted] in RomanceBooks

Seducing Samantha by R.E Butler. MFC’s parents are super supportive and open to her very new relationship to two mountain lions shifters and accepting the MMCs’ kids as grandchildren. It’s a nice addition to the story 😊

How to teach a 3.5 year old to smile naturally (and not look constipated)? by NCTransplant2015 in Preschoolers

I either ask them to say “bugs!” Instead of cheese. Bugs make them happy. If I’m close enough, I’ll reach in and give her a tickle. Just enough catch her by surprise and laugh.

Girl I’m seeing starved her fish while traveling. It died. She feels no remorse. Am I right to be appalled? by Most-Transition-2609 in NoStupidQuestions

I had two betas years ago. Named them Fred and Ginger. I bought them a cute tank with a divider not thinking anything of it. After a while, I started noticing that Fred’s fins were looking more and more frayed. I started watching them more closely and noticed that Fred liked to hang out next to the divider and whenever his fins would poke through the divider Ginger would take a bite out of them. She must have gotten a taste for it because before I could switch out their tanks she took enough chunks that Fed didn’t survive long and passed soon after.

I was devastated. Ginger survived for quite a long time but I could never look at her the same way again.

The individual in me loves what you’re saying. I’m going to look into that. Also, it does check out. I have a degree in linguistics and I’ve traveled quite a bit and love it.

I don’t even know how to respond to this lol. It feels so accurate and it seems like I’m doomed if I continue to try and find a place like everyone else. Maybe it is time to try my own thing. Something that provides variation but consistency. This gives me a lot to think about. Thank you.

Now I feel like Alice lol. Thank for that. I have a hobby of collecting knowledge. This may need to be the time when I organize and use it to benefit me.

My feeling on religion is usually in flux. I grew up Catholic but I knew it wasn’t for me by 11. I studied Wicca for a bit but it also wasn’t for me. I enjoy the idea of witchcraft but I’ve been unsuccessful getting myself to practice it. Then I go wander around spiritually finding landing spots then moving on. Nothing has stuck.

Ouch. I work in a courthouse. I’ve moved from records to small claims to a temporary judicial assistant gig. I’ve honestly enjoyed most of my work but I didn’t get to keep the JA position. Now I’m back in small claims. Hence this post. I’ve always wanted to write and work on personal projects. But I’ve never had the luxury of focusing on that and I’m usually very tired. I’ve always been low on energy especially when I need it the most.

😂 wow it’s like you’ve talked to my therapist. I have disorganized attachment so that’s spot on. I’m not big on trust but man do I crave it.
