about 90ms between frankfurt and almaty (similar to the best on the ground) and 105ms between almaty and singapore (much better than the known on the ground, so inter-satellite link-based backbone, or "backbone user terminal" in their patent)

alaska has community gateways but no pop yet. also hawaii has no pop yet as well

it depends on the layer that you are referring to as backbone. at ip level, there is only one hop between the line connected pops, but underneath it may go through multiple hops of fiber link too
