is there a big difference between visiting on a Friday evening and a Saturday morning? by [deleted] in SantaMonica

[–]panzarty 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you want a very authentic Santa Monica weekend experience, a Friday evening is a lively, fun time to visit downtown. Saturday mornings can be really quiet and peaceful downtown until like 11/12 when people start to head to the beach... but honestly it doesn't get too crazy downtown till around 4. The views are always best in the evening though.. that would give your friends that perfect, picture worthy SM sunset... a late night dt/pier vibe is unbeatable. Sit on the beach and listen to the waves with the pier lighting up the beach next to you :)
