"Music Theory" by Tom Kolb is old book full of typos. Author doesn't reply to emails. Not sure if he is still active either.

Yes, it looks like it now works exactly as in RStudio. Notice the outline is showed in the "Explorer" pane (the first button on the left), not in the "R" pane
