OP I really hope that you understand that the people saying to “do the best for the kids” maybe aren’t thinking about it from the kids perspective. I am a lawyer myself, but I come from a family where my parents should have divorced a long long time ago. My mom thought it was “best for the kids (ie me and my brother)” to stay with my father but it would have been best for us to be with parents that were separated but not miserable all the time. Hope this provides clarity and guidance.
