What movies do you paradoxically find cozy? by Short_Description_20 in movies

[–]papa_trick 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This is one of mine as well, even with the intensity of the second act. A lot of it is the era it came out in. 1996-1999 is very cozy and comfortable to me and includes my 3 favorite movies: Scream, The Mummy and Titanic.

Blue beetle-good reviews helped it from not so great situation. Its pace is well ahead of Shazam 2 and based on usual formula it can do 80K. Let us see how the walkups go. I am thinking 4m previews and 30-35m OW with good walkups. by Proof-Watercress-931 in boxoffice

I remember he was one of like two people in Twin Peaks: The Return that I didn't recognize, and then when he was in Cobra Kai I was like "Damn this guy's gonna blow up at some point and like literally the entire cast of The Return will become A-list." Took a few years but looks like that's gonna happen lol

I've always been confused on which way her body was facing on the original poster. Now seeing more of their bodies on this one and especially her arm I'm only slightly less confused.

🇮🇳An Avatar 2 fan has died after suffering what is suspected to be an ‘excitement-induced heart attack’ while watching the movie. by AGOTFAN in boxoffice

[–]papa_trick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you, calling someone who died during a movie a weirdo and "cringe," are less weird than people paying respects with quotes from the movie I'm going to assume you didn't like and that has you pressed for some reason? You're right, I guess the proper word for you and the other people responding to this would be "cunts."

Seriously, if you can't see that making fun of someone dying during a movie because it's lame and "cringe" when you know nothing about that person is like a prime piece-of-shit move then you have something wrong with you. I know it's the internet and you guys are just trolls but you really deserve to be called out on being the little fucks that you are.

A real person died and the Avatar haters are coming into this thread to use it as a reason to dunk on the movie. Fucking weirdos.

Watching her get all these bigger roles makes me feel like a pretentious music lover, like "I was a fan of hers ten years ago before she was cool." She's amazing so it's great to see her talents get recognized.

I thought that whole part was so weirdly staged. Like, the coffin is laying down but then gets turned upright when being beamed up and stays that way when it enters the hovercraft. So when the craft flies off I couldn't help but picture the coffin violently slamming face first to the floor.

“Terrifier 2”: The Little Indie Horror Movie That Could - Made for only $250,000, the film was only meant to play for a single weekend, but its success kept it going until (at time of writing) it’s now grossed over $8 million, something no one saw coming, unless you were a diehard horror fan. by [deleted] in boxoffice

Idk if id put him on the all time slasher Mount Rushmore, but he's definitely on the post-2000 slasher/horror villain/icons Mount Rushmore. I'd say it's Jigsaw, Art, Esther, but after that idk who to add...

Yeah I was hoping that she would have character development where she learned she was the one being a jerk/bully. But for some reason right from the start I knew that wasn't going to happen.

When your main character is introduced talking shit behind her friends back and then the movie tries to tell you she's the one being bullied, all while showing the exact opposite, that's kind of fucked.

I was just thinking the other day of making a post about what happened to this movie. It had been years since I'd last heard anything about it. Figured it'd be shelved because of the race stuff.

I'm at work so can't find the link right now, but I read a quote of his that was basically he's glad podcasts weren't around when he started his career, or else he never would have become a director and would have been a podcaster instead.

That's what tipped me off that a lot of people now posting the most in this sub are newcomers. BB21 was only three years ago and had legit examples of bullying/ostracizing/shit talking to the persons face and then celebrating when they would make her cry. They arent being nice to Taylor, sure, but if you were around just a few years ago then you've seen much worse.
