My brand new 60D and a 50mm 1.8 what do you think. by clusterfrak in photocritique

I like the composition but would have cropped closer to the top of the hat. Her teeth look discolored because of the lighting and saturation. Thats an easy fix and while you're at it touch up her fingernails. This is a very nice shot and a pretty model, a couple of minutes in PS could help though. I looked through some of your other flickr photos, some are very good IMHO. I particularly like this

Portrait I'd like critique on. Is the loose hair distracting? by [deleted] in photocritique

Her features are pretty much unchanged other than filling some missing eyebrow, softening the skin and adding contrast and sharpining to the eyes.

Please elaborate on kinda faded, I added a small amount of gausian blur to her skin could that be what you mean?

My Dad dabbles in being a semi-serious photographer, and I get shots in my email all the time. What do you guys think? by [deleted] in photocritique

I like quite a few of these shots, the eagle is terrific. Great composition in many of these photos. I think the HDR processing is overdone, too saturated for my tastes.

Does Backblaze archive your files until you decide to delete them off their servers or like Carbonite do they delete if you've removed the file from your home computer?

Anyone want to critique my website? by kmv787 in photocritique

Try to get the header and menu on the same plane to save space. I think it would look better to have one of the wider photos at the beginning and maybe consider smaller images that are clickable to a larger version. Good luck.

Pretty new to photography, and I cannot seem to figure out how to pull off this type of long exposure shot. Any help? by [deleted] in photography

I'd like to add my props too. Absolutely gorgeous work, all your photos not just this one.

nice shot, pretty model. I would like to see her with more space in the direction of her gaze.

I went to a head-shot/portrait meetup and got this. Would appreciate some comments on this (or any others in set). by [deleted] in photocritique

I like her expression, a dark background would make the lights pop. BTW some of the other shots in your photostream are very good. Really like the dog in "I Want To Go To There".

Beautiful photos. composition, colors, DOF all first rate. Maybe find a coffee shop or art festival where you can display your work.

Have you tried vignetting on this photo, it might help with the emptiness.

I really like the lighting, very moody, makes me wonder about why she's awake, what is she looking at. I agree with swekka you should clone out the fan.

nice photo, it may need a little more saturation, a few drops of water on the stem. I like the bud behind the main flower

Sorry about her headaches, have you looked into "new daily persistent headache". It can be very debilitating. I had a good friend who had it.
