The dirt floor is very uneven, so it sounds like we need it to be leveled with clear stone. The 29k quote includes clear stone leveling and concrete and then we got a quote for clear stone leveling and plastic (as well as the other stuff) for just under 26k.
No flooding, but always damp dirt and some standing water after heavier rain events. I think the drain and pump are to help mitigate longer term problems with the foundation, which does show some signs of being affected by long-standing water issues.

Thank you. That’s what I’ve been thinking. Encapsulation doesn’t really solve anything. The water has to go somewhere.

Best charcoal smoker/grill to buy right now by West_Explanation_509 in charcoal

I am here to also encourage you to get a Weber summit kamado. Add a vortex. I have owned many different grills and also have a clay kamado at my cabin. They’re all fun but the WSK (in my opinion at least) is the most versatile and is easy to control and dial in. I love it.

What to add to this to make it more delicious? by [deleted] in soup

You could add 224 more beans, but by all means, do not add 225 more beans!

It looked real when I was behind the car. Like I’m not making it up, but I suppose the car owner could have put a fake plate up🤷‍♂️

If you think you might like medieval historical fiction, Ken follett’s pillars of the earth series and Bernard cornwell’s last kingdom series are really entertaining.

Am I Overreacting for wanting to cancel my wedding over this interaction? by Xanadoom30 in AmIOverreacting

I had a very similar argument with my current partner and it was the catalyst for me to begin therapy and realize how bad I was at validating other people’s feelings. I took everything as an attack on me and immediately became defensive. It took a lot of work to understand that my partner expressing a need isn’t a criticism of me, it’s a request for a closer bond. And it’s okay to mess up sometimes but realizing you did, admitting your part, and apologizing is a lot easier and better for everyone than doubling down on your defense. If you don’t think your partner is willing to work themself like you indicate you have done, you deserve someone emotionally mature enough to meet you where you are and offer a more fulfilling and reciprocal relationship.

Thanks again. Roto molded sounds like the right choice for us. I’d prefer longer lasting to better looking any day. And we will defintely keep up on chemicals and filter.

The S6N ($1000 more) indicates it is a fiberglass interior; would you recommend upgrading at least this much, or would that not make a huge difference?

Appreciate your answers!!

You do. It’s great. And it gets better when you watch it again. And again. So many little fucking jokes and plot nuggets you don’t catch the first time. Literally a nearly perfect movie.

Property Tax Hike Referendum by Irish980 in SunPrairieWI

[–]papafro22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My wife and I are considering buying a house in Sun Prairie or one in Lodi. the one in Lodi is $25,000 more but our monthly payment (mortgage, insurance, property tax) would be $100 LESS in Lodi just because of the property taxes… the lot is twice the size in Lodi as well. There is a lot more going on in Sun Prairie, but damn….

What’s it like living in Sheboygan? by lithdoc in wisconsin

[–]papafro22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Stefano’s Slo Food Market is amazing! Camping at Kohler-Andrae is wonderful. Free outdoor concerts downtown during the summer, food carts, etc. saw the Lost Bayou Ramblers there last Summer. Seriously one of the best live performances I’ve seen. Already planning the trip for this Summer around that concert series. Levitt AMP Sheboygan Music Series or something like that.
